LT Trail Boss brake problems

Anyone notice their front brakes wearing out super fast? I have 6300 miles on my truck and it says they only have 56% life left. Replacing breaks every 15k miles? Seems crazy.

Yep. I have about 800 miles and I'm at 97%. At that rate I'll need new brakes at about 15k-20k. My brakes have always lasted me over 40k...

Seems to be a common problem among the owners. Mine are wearing fast according to the readout. The sensors and wear calculations might need to be updated. The techs have

inspected my pads and they are wearing fine for the mileage.

I'm thinking it's a software issue or a sensor issue too. I just can't imagine these brakes wearing as fast as the ready says especially since I've been babying it got the most part done I'm still in what I consider the break-in period...

Can you report back? Ask them specifically what the measurements are on those pads vs what they are new. Brand new pads probably measure around 15/32”.

The sensors are showing faster wear than it really is.  Best way is to check yourself when you tire is off for a rotation.

Dealership fed me a bunch of bullshit saying that driving habits are likely the cause. Told me thats “just how brakes wear” typically bullshit from Chevy.

1900 miles on my Trail Boss LT.  This morning fronts were at 69% and rears were 82%.  At this rate, the truck will tell me the brakes are worn out by 9,000 miles.  WTF?!?!

Hmm, wonder if you can remove the pad monitor from the dic? Sounds highly inaccurate or there wear out fast. Idk

Yes you can turn it off. Whether it's accurate or not has yet to be seen

My truck is in for some issues and I mentioned this to them. They weren’t even aware of the sensor. Really? They told me the same thing about driving habits. I called bs on them too. Said no way because I drive highway on cruise all the time. I’m at 3700 miles and 70%. They were baffled. I’m having brake issues as well like hard brake pedal with almost zero throw and creaking. I’m thinking my brake booster is defective as well. After test driving it with the tech Wednesday morning they said I should be done by end of day and will be getting a call. Well, it’s Friday night and still no call.
