Tire size

Now I know this has been asked a lot but there are so many post about it I am hoping to just get a answer here.

I have a 2019 Silverado LT 4x4 double cab. My overall goal is to put some better looking tires, “beefier” looking then stock. But I don’t want to gain overall height on the struck.

I am in love with Fuel Beast rims.

What would be the largest tire I could put on if I stay with 18” rims everything else being stock? What about if I go 20”?

And if I put a level on the front what would the largest be with 18s or 20s?

Cheers

20s just don’t look “beefy” to me until you get into really large tires.   If you want the most rubber visible I would imagine go with the smallest rim size possible and largest tire possible.

I think the newer Tacoma’s still come with 16” rims and I really like seeing those paired with oversized tires.   I also prefer 16” rims on my old truck.    I just havent read any performance perks about running huge rims on work trucks!

I have 18’s on my 2018 Sierra and love the look. Unless your going with huge 35/37 inch tires, I think 18’s look the best. My tire size is 275/70/18 which is a 33 inch tire

Here's an excel file I created years ago to compare tire widths and tire height to stock tires to see differences.  Just input the tire width in millimeters (i.e., 275, 285, 305, etc.), sidewall height (i.e., 50, 55, 60, etc.) which is a percentage of tire width in P metric applications, and rim size (18, 20, etc.)

Hope this helps.

Have you tried searching? This has been covered many of times. I am not sure what you are looking for. You said you don't want to gain overall height but want a larger tire? That will make the truck taller... Then you ask about a leveling kit which will make it even higher? Look around, check out the other threads covering the same subjects, there are many that you can research and make a conclusion from.
