a fella on this site posted this link a while back before you could even order anything, i studied it for a long time to determine what i wanted to buy and what came with what.  it takes a little time to learn how to decipher it but the info is awesome.

With an Ultimate Denali package, is the PTT option needed to get alerts for trailer tire pressure low? I’ve seen a lot of posts that trucks are coming with the tire pressure sensors without the PTT option. There are notes in U1D and PTT options stating you have to have PTT to have the system monitor and alert for low pressure. Just wondering. Thanks.

PTT  is the RPO code for  the TPMS sensors which are shipped loose if you order them with the truck or can be purchased separately through the parts dept. you need U1D advanced trailering system installed at time of build to be able to accept the TPMS (PTT) .  the TPMS module is behind the license plate. look back through the older posts about this and a fella sent in a picture of it.

Thanks, I did see the previous post with picture.

 

This note under U1D is confusing then:

”2 - Includes trailer tire pressure monitoring alert ONLY when (PTT) trailer tire pressure monitor system is factory ordered”

 

I was curious to hear from someone that didn’t have the PTT on their factory build order sheet and if they were receiving alerts. It appears the sensor setup is there with U1D but is there something missing if you don’t order PTT? Hope I am making sense. I understand you need U1D and the sensors but the notes make it seem that you have to order both from factory to get the alerts.

Mine did not have PTT so i did not recieve trailer sensors with my truck. I do have the U1D so I purchased some older sensors off ebay for $25 (ish) for 4, instead of the dealer $150 per 2 offer, have not had any issues.

I am wondering on the TPP individual units. Who sets the pressures for the trailer tires. My trailer tires are 110 PSI for each tire? I know the truck tires are set per the factory pressures. I also hear there are dealers that will NOT reset the alarms for the truck tires lower to get a better ride. There were dealers for the '19 models that charges between 50 and 150 bucks to reset alarms. Also certain dealers say they can't get approval from GM to lower the alarms. Anyone know for sure? The tire pressure question is what concerns me.

The trailer tpms level is set during the trailer set up process. Pretty straight forward process once they are installed in the trailer tires.

Sdelam, so the trailer tires can be set up to 110 PSI? or is that a assumption during set up? Has anyone tired to make the setting up that high or higher?

Mine are set at 65, owners manual doesn't say whether or not there is a limit.

So I bought a 2020 2500 HD Z71 last night. The only thing is the blind spot mirror seems to high. Do they tilt at all?

When I asked what the max was a couple pages ago someone said they believed the max was 85.

Yes, they do tilt manually.

I tried but it feels as if it’s going to break. Sounds like it’s held on by tape or something.  When I push on it, it doesn’t seem to want to move at all.

So it didn’t take long for me to get the first issue with this new 2020 2500 Hd Silverado. This is the message I am now getting when I touch the Camera app or put it in reverse. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this “?
