Those are the angles they don’t look too extreme to me but I’m not to sure would like a second opinion before I spend 300 dollars on uca’s and have to pull those struts back out

I just finished doing this to my 2020 Sierra x31

just remember the angles you see with the truck sitting still may not be the angles that are troublesome. It is when the front of the vehicle travels up llike when going over a bridge and the suspension travels up and down or bounces, and if the bounces are  too violent the suspension will max the angles out as the front end of the truck travels up in the air, causing possibly a fracture in the ball joint

With that being said, I would like to point you in the direction of american trucks.com. That is where I found a great deal on a set of upper control arms. They have a lot of open box products sometimes at half the cost I was able to find a set of FAbtech upper control arms that normally were 300 and something dollars and I was able to get them taxes shipped and all for 136 so I jumped on it. I also upgraded the shocks all the way around with the Billstein 5100 adjustable shocks truck rides so much better with those shocks and also gives you the option to add up to 2 1/2 inches of lift to the front. So what I did was chose option for 2 1/2 inch lift, and I and paired that with the 2 inch upper strut spacer leveling kit that I had already put on the truck so now I am sitting at roughly 4 to 4 1/2 inches and the angles on my upper control arms look great everything aligned perfectly then added a 1 1/2 inch block in the back.
As far as the tire size I went with the 35x11. 50x 20 and have no rubbing  but when I put the half inch spacers to push the tires out a bit I did get just a small amount of rub at 90-100 percent turn. I will
post pictures to give you an idea of my set up. Good luck on yours. Just wanted to share some helpful information.

Your truck looks great with that lift/level. I did almost the same thing on my 2022 AT4.

Welcome to the club.

Thanks for the compliment

Your truck setup looks tough. I like the wheel/tire choice too. What size tires you running?

Also how clean do the red calipers stay? Was thinking of doing the same thing as well as doing the red row hooks

The tires are Toyo Open Country A/T III 35X12.50R17LT mounted on

Icon Alloys Compression 17x8.5 +0mm wheels. Had to do quite a bit of trimming so I finally installed the Ready LIFT 1.75-Inch Front Leveling Kit with Tubular Control Arms and Bilstein 5100 Adjustable shocks up front and 5100 Bilstein shocks in the rear along with a 3” block replacing the 2” block. I've got 41.75" (up from 38.875") in front and 42.5" (up from 41") the rear.

Actually, this raised the truck more than I wanted but I had to be sure that after I spent all this money that the rubbing was gone. My wife bitches every time she gets into it. In retrospect, the 35" tires were just too big!

I just painted the calipers yesterday, so I haven't driven the truck since. Only time will tell. Amazon.com: G2 High Temperature Brake Caliper Paint System Set RED G2160 - High Gloss : Automotive

Awesome thanks for sharing the info.
mine sits at 41” front and rear. I like the look of a 12.50 but didn’t want to do any trimming. So far it’s a perfect balance for me.

You should try a 34x12R20lt, maybe that would work without any trimming.

Kept the 22" OEM wheels on my High Country and went with the Fabtech 4" lift with 285/55R22 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Used 1-1/4 Spacers and still had to trim a bit, but not too much at all..

Nice look!  Have you had any issues with 1 1/4" spacers?

This gentleman says he’s put a 285/65/20 set on his AT4. Stock. No rubbing. Haven’t seen anyone else put on this size tire. Can anyone confirm this?? I’m about to pull the trigger on a set for my ‘19 AT4 if so.

Did you do it?  If so, has it killed MPG or acceleration?  What tires did you choose?  I want to put 295/65/20 on my 2021 AT4 with 1.75" Redi-Lift Level, don't want any more lift...

Took me forever but finally settled and pulled the trigger on my wheels/tires.

2021 GMC Sierra Denali, bone stock suspension. 22x10 +12mm offset Brink B206 Insurgent on 285/45r22 Michelin Defenders. I'm very pleased with the result! Various other mods of course but this covers the wheels/tires....thanks to all I've bugged with questions! :)

22x9 (+24)?? If so what size spacer was required to clear the brake caliper?

    • Hello hello looking forward to expanding my knowledge of the 2026 2500 HD that I just bought.   Truck has 3500 miles on it four-wheel-drive crew cab and I’m about to put a 6 1/2 inch BDS lift on it 18 x 10 -25 offset with 37’s   Already have the wheels and tires just waiting on the lift install in about three weeks   Question what surprises am I not gonna be happy with?  I’m not new to lifted trucks so I know that acceleration towing gas mileage all that is affected..   Question is those of you that have this truck this powertrain with a 10 speed Allison and have done the mods that I’m doing,,, how bad is it? Is that Allison constantly gonna be hunting for the right gear to go into? And what about towing, acceleration, fuel consumption as mentioned?    Lastly how come I can’t find any ring pinion gear set up for these axles and when could I expect to see them?   I apologize if there’s any typos I’m doing speech to text on my iPhone.
    • I've got a 2013 2500 6.0L Flexfuel. Drove the truck earlier today with no issues. Went to run an errand tonight and noticed key fob wouldn't work. Figured battery was dead, so replaced fob batter. Still wasn't working. Grabbed my other set of keys with the other fob and that one wasn't working either. So I manually unlock truck and insert key. Interior lights come on, dashboard lights up, turn key and truck starts. Turn truck off, like a moron, and try starting again. This time no crank, no click, no nothing. Lights still come on and dash lights up, but now I'm getting a service 4wheel drive, service tire monitor, etc. Check voltage on battery and Im showing 12.2v. Throw my battery charger on it and give it 15 mins and try starting again. But still no crank no start. Decide maybe its a bad battery, run to autozone grab a new one and put it in. Same issue. Disconnect battery and let it sit for 15 mins. Try again and still nothing. I had managed to roll the windows down earlier as its a humid night, but now I can't get them to roll up. Power locks are also not working now. Then randomly I try the key again, and it fires right up. Immediately I roll up the windows as we have nothing but rain forecast this week. I shut it back off wait 30 seconds and start up again. Worked a 2nd time. So turn it off, start putting things back together. Try one more time, and back to no crank no start. And now the car alarm starts going off. Had to disconnect battery and leave it that way for the night as I don't think my neighbors would appreciate my alarm going off again tonight. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.
    • No one will care for you like you care for you. Do what you can for as long as you can. IMHO of course.
    • How about them NICKS!!!
    • Hi there.  Long time lurker, first post.    i have read the previous posts regarding the water ingress problem with this emblem.  I bought my 1500 SLT the  summer of 2025 new and after reading the MANY problems with these emblems failing I decided to install one anyways.  As per a YouTube video, I sealed ( or tried to) this sign with silicone sealant around the outer perimeter joint and the holes that were already somewhat sealed on the rear plate of the emblem.  And installed the connector assembly using dielectric grease on the connectors. The installation looked great and worked well for about 4 months……then FAILURE.  Grrrrrr…… I live in the great white north and wash my truck weekly in an automatic car wash  to keep the salt off.  Let me tell you that removing the old, failed emblem is a whole different animal than removing the OEM individual letters without removing the grill assembly. Mainly because the illuminated logo is built differently than the original letters which  you can remove the red surface lettering with a knife or some kind of blade which gives access to the tabs which hold the logo onto the grill. So I had to essentially destroyed the old emblem to remove it. Doing so killed my chance of doing somekind of autopsy on the failed , old logo.  But there was plenty of water inside when I ripped it apart.  Prior to installing the new assembly I tried it with the old harness and it works fine.   Does anyone have any insight as to where the water is getting into this emblem? I intend to seal the new logo with slow curing epoxy this time around using a syringe.  I think this newer emblem may be an updated unit which I hope GM got the vendor to fix. It has an October 2025 date on it.    If this one  fails,  I am just going to revert back to the non-illuminated letters….AFTER PULLING THE GRILL.    Any thoughts on sealing with epoxy would be appreciated. Thx!   Doug
