Replacement Antenna

Recommended Posts

Just bought a 2019 1500 AT4 and pretty happy with it. Only problem so.far is the extra 2" is causing the antenna to clip my garage door.

I see a bunch of options out there for replacements but has anyone done this quick mod and enjoy the look without losing reception?

Thanks.

There's a thread on this topic already.  I'm sure someone will chime in with a link. Most here use the KEYO1 including myself with great reception but there other good ones out there.

I think the stubbies look to small and silly on a big truck... I ordered an 8" I'll let you know once it's installed on performance and pictures.

Yeah, I'm still performance first then looks for this. I will just measure the stock one and get something small enough to fit under the garage but as big as I can get otherwise.

The stubby ones all seem to be hit and miss with reception.

I been thinking about this as well.  I seen somewhere on here that some were using a 13” and I thought it looked good.  Can’t find the thread with it again though lol.

I went with a 22", should arrive tomorrow. Should look stock'ish while being a bit shorter than the truck itself.

Will take pictures and post them.

Craven Speed has some really nice shorty's.  I have the standard 3" version and it works great!

I'm of the opposite opinion. I think a 6-8" replacement antenna looks goofy. Not tall, but not short. It looks confused.

The 4" I have on my RST is barely noticeable, because the first 1.5" or so is absorbed by the molding that it sits into.

The KEYO1E has zero performance issues, btw.

Agree.  The KEYO1E looks awesome and reception is great with the signal enhancement chip and copper coil/internals.  Couldn't be happier.  Gotten several compliments saying how cool it looks.

It’s sad they haven’t integrated the antenna into the rear panel like most new cars

I assume the radio reception issue from the previous body style have been fixed?
