Anchoring passenger side floor mats

Recommended Posts

Bought a set of Weather Tech's and my wife is irritated by the floor mat sliding around. I was thinking of getting some Velcro to stick to the bottom, but am open to better suggestions.

I'm a bit disappointed in the WT floor liners and they factory mats suck. My old truck(2014 fx4 Ecoboost) had awesome factory rubber floor mats. Are the premium Silverado mats rubber or thermoplastic like the WT's?

The Z71 OEM GM mats on the 2019s are unbeatable. They do not move one millimeter.

^^^ He’s right ^^^

Sorry you already bought the weathertechs already.

The salesman I used told me the WT's were better than the Z71's .....are the Z71's rubber, because I might buy a set of the fronts.

Yeah I had WT in my 14. They moved around since there is not anchor and they are smooth bottomed. My wife hated them. I went with Husky liners in my 16. They at least have spikes on the bottom to grab the carpet.

mine '19 LTZ Z71 comes with rubber for fronts and rear, as other have said, they do not move at all.

Only thing I don’t like about the OEM mats compared to the WT ones is the holes in the driver side that snap over the pins to hold it in place. Salt and crap is going to find it’s way down there in the winter.

I used velcro to keep the passenger side mat in place on my wife’s ‘17 Yukon. Worked great.

That said, I have the factory rubber floor liner and they’re awesome.

Should've bought Husky Liners.

I don't know how weathertech stays in business.

I will not buy Weathertech anymore - used to praise them . now they suck  the trans and non trans wiener

liner or factory GM liners now are great

my 2017 Yukon denali GM liners didn't go under Driver gas pedal - so cut up weathertech liner and glued under neath to get full protection

Look in the bottom of the box for a set of red carpet-grabbers. I didn't see them initially and was extremely annoyed by the sliding around but after googling a little I pulled the box out of the trash and found them. Add them and the carpets will stay put.

I bought front and rear weather techs. The rear does not fit at all. Very disappointed and have yet to hear back from customer service. I think you can instal the carpet anchors ? May help out.
