Anyone else have a high pitch noise above 75ish that is linked to the climate control recirculation? At first I thought it was a windshield air leak. Only does it @ 75mph and up or with high winds with either the climate control off or with the recirculatory air on. Had it to dealer about 2 weeks ago. Tech acknowledged the noise and said they would get with GM on what to do but have yet to get back with me. I did a search and found that it's a vent door not sealing in the climate control. Anyone know if it's accessible through the glove boxes?

Mine does it too, I had a brand new rental with 40 miles on it, did it as well. I figured it was normal.

Dealer just got back with me and gm responded with the go ahead for warranty repair. I asked about if they needed to romove the full dash and I got a "we'll see" answer. I am scheduled next Wednesday.  "We'll see" what happens as they told me over the phone that they are not sure what exactly the will have to do or get into.

Definitely keep us updated. Mine has done the same since day 1. Dealer said they’d probably have to take out the dash. I’m reluctant because I would rather turn recirculation off on the highway than have my dash rattle....

So I finally made it to an appointment to have this checked out. They told me that they took to cowl off and checked the flapper and also took some inside dash trim off and used a stethoscope and determined that the noise is not from the HVAC system. They said there was a lot of wind noise at the bottom passenger corner of the windshield. And that changing the recirculate function is just changing the pressure in the cabin. So now they want to take the windshield out, inspect the area, and reseal the original windshield back.

Any update on this condition?

My truck has it...as well as the loaner that I am in.

I've been back to the dealer since they wanted to replace the windshield. After my last post I noticed the dealer broke some trim pieces and glued them back into place. I went in and flipped shit. Plastic breaks, and stuff happens, but to hide it and glue it back together is inexcusable. Went to another dealer afterwards. They will not work on it until what was broke from the first dealer is fixed. Waiting on parts during the strike. I will say that I have played with the HVAC settings some more and my problem has specific requirements on the settings to replicate the sound and that kinda tells me the whole windshield stuff the first dealer told me was a bunch of bull. So far I have no answers.

Thanks for the update.  Hope they get you sorted.

Oh my! That is terrible. After my last exp in a Chevy dealer... I'm not surprised. It's quite sad these days that they can't do the right thing. It's all about speed, and making the boss happy... not the customer.

This is gonna sound funny. Guys that have complained of this occurring before had to open the rear console air vents. After that they said the sound went away. May want to check those.

I have yet to get this issue straightened out. Dealer recalibrated the actuators but didn't help it. Haven't really played with my rear vents to see if that changes it.

I remember similar issue with mine when new.  Opened all vents (to far up or down up front restricts flow and to far left or right in rear console vents restricts flow). No issue since adjusting.  Current generation System appears to move more air and vent restriction can cause noise for sure.

I have tried all tips and tricks. Nothing seems to help. Stealership is no help!!!  Now it has brake issues as well. Only 4K on the truck.

    • Can ask that about a lot of places.   Holiday sells 91 for $1 over 87 octane. BP 93 is 80 cents. Amoco 93 is 80 cents Kwik Trips is $1.20 for 92 or whatever they have and $1 for the 91.   I know that this is not exactly same as what you are saying with the premium to premium debate of those two stations but why is there such a difference. Top Tier this and that, it's all BS. All the fuel comes from the same damn refinery, so give me a break.
    • Why does Mobil Premium cost 90 cents a gallon more than Shell Premium when their regular offerings are but pennies apart?
    • Was all the way down to $3.69 a gallon but then jumped back to $3.99 just because for some reason.   Diesel floats between $4.80's to $5.10ish a gallon. I even saw Diesel #1 for $6.09 today but nobody in there right mind even buys that in the summer.
    • Mine just keeps lagging or getting stuck on the reverse camera. When I turn off the truck, get out, and close the door it will still stay on. It’s very intermittent and I would not be able to duplicate the issue.
    • I was checking out fuel prices at my farm fuel retailer at their pumps and yes the farm price is a bit lower than the non dyed fuel and was glad to see that the regular farm gas price has dropped a lot from what it had been but what blew me away was the price of diesel as the spread now compared to before the prices went up earlier in the year, diesel was actually slightly lower than gas which was a switch from the theme the last number of years. However that sure isn't the theme lately and definitely not right now. The prices I will post are not from that retailer but just looking at gasbuddy for the main city in this area and instead of posting the lowest price someone found I will list the higher price ( and that may not be the highest price, just whatever someone posted on gasbuddy ).   So regular gas and there are a lot of stations listing the same price for regular is 1.68 a liter, premium 2.00 a liter. Diesel 2.03 a liter for a top price I saw on diesel.   Figures out to 6.36 a us gallon Canadian funds for regular and 7.68 for diesel. With the US exchange rate it would be 4.58 us for regular and 5.53 for diesel.    Thought I would figure that out to get a picture of what it settles out like compared to various US prices and its about the same as the current price in Fairbanks AK as Anchorage tends to be lower. So yes, these would be the prices and higher along the way on the Alaska highway where they know they have a captured market !, for fuel prices for those beginning the long drive back to the lower 48   The problem is our Canadian dollar and going to the states that have the high prices, boy do we pay then !
