I went with black on my 18 Denali Ultimate, and have no regrets.  The tan leather can get stained with blue Jean denim dye,  from what I’ve seen.

You're not kidding!

May not make a difference with cloth, but this "leather" is nothing more tan leather dust mixed with a polymer and painted with a stain. I always get black leather. In the past had grey in my Avalanche and Hinda Pilot and a gold in my Cirrus and 3090M....and every one of them, experienced dye transfer from new jeans, especially when wet. Most will wash off, but there is an unremovable residue that permanently transfers to the leather and no way to get it out other than scrubbing off the color layer and then you have a big mess.

Black is simply easier to keep clean and wears better over time.  It does get hot in the summer, but I wouldn't have any other color interior...period.  Once you go black..........

I currently have an LT and cloth, but it is a Jet Black interior.  My last car was blank interior with leather. I live in Texas, we've had 57 days over 100F this year.  It's not too hot, I have dark ceramic tint and use a windshield sunscreen whenever I park outside.

My wife's truck has tan leather, and it is terrible with the kids, and the seats have blue from jeans.

I only buy black vehicles and my sole belief is black on black. While I think the '19-'20 SLT has a nice grey interior, I prefer a black truck with a black interior. I have a '17 Sierra All Terrain right now with black interior, red stitching  and carbon fiber panels and inlays. The new '19-'20 AT4 actually makes me not want to buy it because I don't think the kalahari leather goes well with the AT4.

So I might move up to a '20 Denali with black interior when I go to order my new truck in a couple weeks. The brown and grey on the Denali is too much and I think GMC should stick to solid classic colors. I want the Denali interior in the AT4 or the '17 style All Terrain interior. However, I'm 25...what do I know.

When I leave my office, I remote start the truck and get the AC blowing and don't have any temperature complaints about the black interior. I take special precautions about the truck though when it comes to leather care and keeping my German Shepard in the vehicle. Also, black trucks are a pain in the ass to take care of but it's a hobby taking care of my '17 and it's spotless and so will be my '20 AT4 or Denali (depending on my decision).

Blue jean does transfer, that is a fact.  Another reason not to get the seats I like.

Or another reason not to wear 'new' bluejeans...

Acid wash solves the problem

Absolutely.
