I have the grey carbon pro wheels and think they look awesome and the tires look decent too. I thought I would regret not getting the 18s but super happy with the 20s so far.

Those look great! Good looking truck. How do you like it overall? Anything you'd change?

Love the truck.  I’m 62 years young and been driving a pickup since my early twenties. First truck I owned was a 1970 S10. Lots of improvements since then.

Yeah.... stuff will slide around in the back if left unattended. Don’t know if you have an Atwood’s store anywhere near you but they have a great horse stall mat that is really thick and durable I use in my trucks. Only 40 bucks apiece. I turn them sideways and use two to cover the entire bed. I am sure other places carry them too.

I have 2019 Carbon Pro - one of the 500 the made - got it on July 3rd of 2019 - all my badges and exaust tips are chrome

Will be ordering the black exhaust tips today and the AT4 badges as soon as anyone can find a part number.   If I source one for AT4 badges I will post up.

Interstested if the 2020's came with cat back exhaust like mine?  I added airbox and tune at dealer to complete the "performance" package.

Love this truck - great all around truck.

Future mods inlcude - ready lift level kit, and maybe supercharger.  Talked to Whipple today also and they hope to have supercharger kit for 2019 and up 6.2L motor ready in 60-90 days - early testing - 150 rwhp and 156 lb ft of torque and those numbers are at the wheels - all other compotents stock.

Love the truck overall and I really don't regret the carbon-pro.  Wasn't looking for one but it was the only thing that checked all the boxes at the dealer and the wheels were just icing on the cake.

If i would change anything I'm a little jealous of the fuel mileage the diesels are getting but was too chicken to get the new duramax first year.  The 6.2 has loads of power but my last car was a manual and i find the combination of 10 speed and DFM to be in conflict with my driving style.  If i only lightly touch the gas while cruising it upshifts to fast and feels like its lugging, as opposed to holding gears longer if i press a little harder.  Hoping it's just something i'll adjust to and maybe need to start driving it like i stole it.

Traded in my 2015 Silverado LT 5.3 last Saturday on the 2020 Carbon Pro in Onyx Black, love the new truck and all the features.

Anybody have thoughts on the wheels/tires on the Denali CarbonPro?

It comes with (SGM) 22" high gloss Black wheels (and all season tires), and doesn't show options for 18 or 20's.

AT4 CarbonPro still showsStandard (RT5) 18" machined aluminum with Dark Grey accents wheels )LT275/65R18C MT blackwall   may be upgraded to (NZQ) 20" 6-spoke Carbon Grey painted aluminum wheels.

I was (and still am) considering this trim but in looking over the relevant information on the truck it only comes in a short bed.  I've a motorcycle (cruiser, not a light dirt bike) and my concern is the weight on the tailgate.  In a few pictures I've seen they show a full size scoot in the bed w/the rear wheel fully on the tailgate.

Anyone happen to have heard what the weight bearing figures are for the tailgate?  It was an easy thing when looking at the standard bed, but since the CarbonPro is only available in short, I've a little more research to do.

Thanks!!

The tailgate will most certainly hold the weight of a motorcycle.  Notice in the picture how the rear tire is fully supported by the bed AND the main portion of the tailgate?  I think the only issue or concern may be if your bike's wheelbase is so long as to put weight on the secondary tailgate portion.  The Manual indicates that if ramps are to be used, that you should drop the secondary out of the way and put the ramps on the primary gate... apparently the latch holding the secondary gate to the primary gate isn't designed to hold that kind of load.  That said, you may prefer a larger box so you can close the gate, completely, etc.  I don't want the added truck length that comes with it, and have no need for the additional length, not to mention that as a rarer option, you'll have fewer accessories available for the "standard" bed truck.  Over 90% of the ones I see on the lot in the upper trims (AT4, Denali) are short box.

Thanks for the opinion. That's pretty much what I thought after I test drove one with the Duratracs. I love the look, but they are a little noisy. I figure for my use which is majority on pavement the 20s make more sense.

How do you like the truck? Anything you'd change? Do you need a rubber bed mat with the carbon bed to keep things from sliding around?

I have the Duratracs.  Yes, they're noisier than the standard tires... but not annoyingly so in my 1500 miles driven thus far.

Hey thanks @Truckasaurus I'm actually looking to see if that'd support two bikes of that size.  Although that might be too much to be asking for.

Does the manual state the running weight load for the gate?

Thanks!

The manual does not state a weight limit, but two bikes on a tailgate is so frequently done, I wouldn't be at all concerned about it.

Thanks @Truckasaurus  Looks like I'll take a tape measure and do some detailed measuring at the dealer.  Appreciate the info!
