My steps are not slippery when wet whether with boots or shoes, indented foothold and large D driver's assist handle that GM finally had enough brains to make standard on the '19s...(no more grabbing the steering wheel to get in). And they're not finished with just paint, but some matte finish scuff proof material ......might be slippery with ice, no more so any other steps.

If you want slippery, just coat them with the GM spray in bed liner - so slippery even when dry, had to use a rubber mat (previous one from the '16 trade was a good fit) to keep stuff from rolling around.

To each their own. My salesman warned me about them on delivery they had a lot of annoyed customers.

looks sweet, but leave something to be desired for sure.

The real issue with these is they are slippery as all hell when wet.

thinking of getting mine coated in bed liner.

They also scuff up easy....  paint is thin and chips easy.  Was thinking about coating them also.

Made in China quality for a part that is actually made in China......

Salesman, huh? Here's a clue salesmen are out to make as much money as possible and could give a rat's ass about what vehicle or options are in your best needs or interest. If you take a good look at the steps, they are better designed than the previous tubular ones on my '16. Not only multiple drain holes but the flatfoot treadles are angled inward toward the the body and holes with indentations to grab the forward foot and pivot inward using the larger improved "D" handles. Makes getting in a breeze compared to the '16.....all you have to do is feel the surface when they are wet or try them out with your feet (in the rain) fronts and rears instead of listening to any heresay B$ from a salesman trying to steer you toward a vehicle he wants to sell to you without them or one with the more expensive and more profitable ones the dealer had to add on. And you need them to get in on a raised Trail Boss.

Honestly EVERY dealer i went to GMC/Ram none of the salesmen had a clue about trucks or options.

I was educating them on every aspect of the vehicles i wanted them to sell me.

And then they try to pretend they can outsmart me. It’s such a joke.

Your product is $60,000.  It would benefit you to know what it is. There’s like 10 cadd

at any given time at a dealer how hard is it?

Dude why are you so angry? They are not great nerf bars, they are an appearance option at best.

Maybe your salesman was a piece of shit, good for you for giving him business and perpetuating that problem, but all my guy was telling me was to take a rip down to the hardware store and buy some grip tape for them. There were no more expensive options for me to buy, that’s the benefit of buying a fully loaded vehicle with every option lol.

The bars look cool, but I expect them to do absolutely nothing to protect my truck. And they are definitely smooth and slippery. I have to warn people getting into my truck about them on a daily basis and have had multiple people eat shit who weren’t paying attention.

I'm not comparing these to whatever came on a ‘16. I’m calling them for what they are.

Very cool idea, the "mail box strips" is called retroreflective or prismatic and is available in many colours. It is very expensive for the 3M stuff to put on trailers, it was about $3/foot last time I checked. Here are a bunch of different colours in case anyone is interested, may be able to find some on . https://www.amazon.ca/Oralite-Reflexite-V92-DB-COLORS-Microprismatic-Conspicuity/dp/B00LW4G854?psc=1&SubscriptionId=AKIAILSHYYTFIVPWUY6Q&tag=duc12-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B00LW4G854
