Tired of those punched out logos in the steps and sports bar? Less than $4 and you can customize to the body color, even add reflkective backing for the red and the white trucks.

Loosen the Torx screws holding the step plate to the bar and insert red or white reflective strips used for mailboxes or a color co-ordinated strip cut from the cover of a plastic foldover from the stationary section. slip behind the punched out logo, retighten screws to hold in place and it jumps out. Great as a side reflector at night. Same goes for the punched out logo in the sail of the sports bar.

I am so happy I finally found this thread after weeks of searching, this is the reason I purchased the running boards I did and also joined this site. Thank you for your suggestions!!

Did this with the material used for tailgate lettering.  Figured it would hold up better in the long run.  So far so good a year later.  Ordered some strips from BD Trims.  Was pretty cheap, and good color match to the other red Trail Boss bits.

Love the idea of the lettering.

I also like the looks of these steps alot better than what the dealer wants to sell me.  He warned me that these would be slipperier. The dealer's is a cheaper option so its not like hes trying to make an extra buck.

I still might change the order if it ever gets accepted, and go with the offroad steps above. Then get some anti slip strips put on if necessary.

I've been looking at these same running boards for my trail boss. Are they easy to install? They are spendy so was thinking about installing them myself but don't know how the install is. do they require drilling or are there spots pre-designed to just bolt them on? If they are bolt on it wouldn't get much easier then that. Also if anyone has the install instructions that i could see that would be awesome!

Thanks!
