Have no idea how this even happened, ive never wiped it with more than a tissue lightly but theres a few light scratches that can be caught with a finger nail after only 3 weeks :(

I'm guessing its gonna be one of those you have to live with it its gonna happen things... but figure it cant hurt to ask.

I would not recommend tissues or paper towel on your cluster lens or radio touch screen.  Ask anyone that wears high end plastic eye glasses.  They are actually very abrasive.  I only use microfiber towels.  Mothers and a few other company's make great clear plastic scratch removers.  I use some that I bought at the local Harley store for all kinds or plastic.  The HD scratch remover is made to remove small scratches from the wind screen.  Just my 2 cents.

Microfiber towels are cheap. Wipe with that. Meguiars scratch-x will probably fix it.

The sucky part is it does not say anywhere in the owner’s manual so the plastic should be more scratch resistant, but it is not.  At 4000 miles I replaced my driver’s side plastic sill plate because the scratches on it annoyed me.  It is very soft for a panel that will see dirty shoes standing on it.  Now I try my best to step over it when getting in the truck but passengers do not care.  Then you get the opposite side of the spectrum of people that say "it’s only a truck..., like my wife"

"Microfiber" cloths are made out of plastic and scratch as well. Buy these instead

She is right... you should probably buy her a beer (or 2!).  ?

Use a car wash having them clean the interior wearing rings and watches and using dirty rags? I haven't used one in 45 years and only marks on the interior are the one I made. I wouldn't even let the dealer clean or wash it during prep, and I drove it to the gas station to top it off before signing the papers. Nature clean my vehicles, all it takes is wearing a slicker and soaping them up during the next mountain downpour. And when washing, cleaning or waxing.....off comes the ring, watch and belt buckle.

Once I make a decision to buy a vehicle, I park it and mine is the only ass that ever touches the driver's seat. And, not a single mark or scratch on my interior.

Where did we start talking about door sills?

This is an instrument cluster lens.

Well Skippy, this started with disappointing scratches on the acrylic lens on the instrument cluster and I mentioned I am not happy with the soft durometer of the sill plates.  That how we got there.  I know, one really has nothing to do with the other but I just wanted to explain to you how we got here so you don’t loose any sleep over it.  Try to keep up Skippy, you can do it…
