Climate Control

Ok I have a question and am too lazy to go through the complete owners manual. I have a 2109 RST. I have the automatic temperature control feature. My question is if its possible to have the automatic temperature  engaged while the AC is off. Whenever I click off the AC button and click on "Auto", the AC button comes back on. Just wanting to know if I can run just non AC on automatic control. I did this on my previous Tahoe.

I don’t think so I noticed this as well. I don’t think the ac runs all the time but I think it wants to be able to use it if it needs to use it

Well he is too lazy to read his manual and wants everyone else to give him the answer, and people are getting more lazy so yes, I do believe he is from the future...

So anyway... yes, you can turn off the AC & still have the fan run in Auto based on your temp set point.
Obviously, in the summer without the AC on, you won’t get any cooling. In the winter when the heating is on, it won’t matter much. Although I believe for the defrost to function properly, the AC must be enabled, but I could be wrong.

Ryno12, thanks and will try again with heat only and auto function. Has not worked yet but will give it another shot.

Others, yes am from future. Go out to your local minute mart today and play numbers 14, 33, 29, 7, 56, 12, PB # 41....You will have a Merry Christmas!

I always have the window vent on because it kind of spreads out the wind in my truck, but I stopped doing that because it does turn on the air conditioner. I realized that after the autostop feature didn't kick in whenever I had the windshield fan. Now, I have the bottom and middle on, not the window.
