Had a little mishap with the father in law today. Met him at Home Depot to get some lumber. First thing he said was " What did you do to your truck"?   I told him I did this right after Christmas he hadn't seen it since then.
His battery went dead while we were in the store .
So I had to give him a ride home  to get some jumper cables .
So he is riding in the back seat with his mask on and when we get there I told him I could grab the cables.
He insists on getting them. I get out anyways. So when he gets out of the truck he forgets how high it is. Well I'm not going into details but he wasn't too happy . He's 79 and can be a real crabass sometimes.
Jesus Christ why him of all people.

I don't know if I should laugh or ………. well......ya know. I have about a 12" step up from sidewalk to the porch. Last few years it seems to have doubled in height. My father, 91, grumbled I need to make a step for that step before some old guy, like you, he points, falls off it. He did first. Crabbby.

Suck to hear about you FIL, but slightly humorous. And the truck is looking so damn good my friend!! Also I’m glad you have your stock height numbers because I never got mine and was interested to see the difference in mine as well after I set it back down.

I'm still monkeying around trying to recalibrate my speedometer.

The rough Country speedometer calibrator didn't work out

I tried three different computers. The third try I got it to download the programming into the computer but when I tried to run the program it wouldn't let it. It's a firewall issue and way more than I want to F with.

I could try a Hypertech unit for $229 but they make the RC unit. They also have an inline unit you have to download your info into then plug it in and leave it. I'm not sure what to do.

These will make the under 30 crowd happy.[emoji24]

I've always been a fan of the gold bowties , but when I got my lift done they looked out of place. Simple $3 piece of gloss black wrap fixes that 522ee385c6e2117dedcab07227f4fcea.jpg

I decided to go a different route.

I ordered a Superchips Flashpaq F5 programmer.

The speedometer calibrator is a one trick pony. For $229.

The Flashpac does a lot more.

Fo $400 it lets you do three different tunes. Helps with shifting and I believe it's supported by HP tuners to do a custom tune. Probably won't go into that but if I get my speedometer calibrated and get the shift points a little better and grab a few ponies I'll be more than happy.
