Every week or so, I get a message on the screen "Satellite Signal Lost" when I start the pickup. Sirius will eventually reconnect after turning the pickup off and  waiting a few minutes before restarting it. Is this normal and everyone is putting up with it or do I possibly have a problem that I need to get taken care of by the dealer?

I am having this issue as well.... and I have lost signal during a light snowfall.  I contacted Sirius and they told me this is NOT normal, and that it needs to be resolved by the Dealer likely through a radio replacement.  I would contact yours to discuss, and have a diary of 'events' if possible.,....

My AT4 is brand new and doing exactly what yours was. Did you find a solution?

The dealer replaced the shark antenna without fixing the problem. The dealer ordered a cable running from the antenna to the radio after talking to Chevy. The cable is not available at this time. I feel that this is a software problem due to the fact it will work properly after the restart.

I really don't want the dealer tearing the interior trim apart to replace something I don't believe will correct the issue.

Mine did it once in a while, dealer told me it's a radio software issue and updated radio program about a week ago. So far so good, but mine had a mind of it's own as to when it would get stuck in searching for signal on xm.

That’s exactly why I asked. There’s no way I would end up with paw prints on my headliner.

Less then a week later, it went out again.

Mine does this and today it wont change xm channel.  Hitting favorites, using steering wheel buttons, nor even scanning works.

XM has been updating their stuff lately, I noticed even in my 08 the other day when going to change a channel, "update in progress"  and channel was unavailable for awhile.  But have not had the loss of signal issue.

We might have some mild to moderate solar flare activity going on.

any update on this?  My two month old AT4 is doing the same...about 2x per week.  seems to work again after 1 or 2 restarts. Quite annoying.

Mine does the same.  I take a pic every time to document the date and time.  Once I have a few, it will be off to the dealer for a fix. Fingers crossed.

Update, I’ve owned the truck since April and I have to stop the XM App about 2 times a month on average.  I have no idea what a long term fix would be

I made a short video to help people for this problem

a new aftermarket radio, most likely :(  Man that sucks!!  I love XM.  My life has been far more enjoyable ever since abandoning the shitty AM and FM stations and their shitty commercials.

my 2020 does the same thing, took it to dealer last week and they flashed it again. Now its WAY worse, at one point it lost the radio ID for a day, the screen goes black for a bit and it started fake dropping cell calls ( going to radio during a call and then returning to the call). The NAV is horrible all the time.

    • Just buy the tube and move on with life.
    • Glad that worked, and in this case that is all on Autel for somehow dropping the ball for not updating the GMC section properly.    I believe in the basic section or unless it is in the advanced, when one does a check of lets say individual sensors for what the pressure is ( and it shows a temperature as well ) , I think it picks up on what the model number of the sensor is in a certain section where you choose "OE" sensor or at least mine is telling me what the model number is and matches to what they actually are and that is the number I quoted in a prior post.    I don't recall now if I had said prior that I discovered with my truck anyway that no matter how low I set the placard pressure for the rear tires, if the physical pressure is under 35 psi and I drive it for about 15 miles the pressure warning will come on for one or both rear tires. I am speculating that there is something else in the trucks system that over rides the placard pressure setting once it drops below that minimum pressure to run a metric LT tire at. The weird thing is it does not trigger right away after driving a shorter distance, it took that longer drive for it to trigger. Just something to keep in mind if you were experimenting with pressures below 35 pounds for a tire designed for lower pressures ( larger than stock floatation series tires ) and not being overloaded of course.
    • I've seen a scant few YT vids on them, but it's always in a performance application.
    • No clue. Service advisor said he'd call me this morning, which I'm 99% sure won't happen. They had the truck 5 days, and I didn't hear a peep. Finally had to call them yesterday. I guess they'd be content to just let the truck sit in perpetuity.
    • I had a little bit of time before I left for work this morning, so I plugged the scanner back in, and I selected Chevrolet Silverado instead of GMC Sierra, and the very first option was for a 2026 so I selected that one and I seen at the bottom it had the option for psi change unlike in the 2026 GMC Sierra, I selected that option and it took a little longer than the usual vehicle not supported, and sure enough I got into it, and it let my change the psi values.. I no longer have the low psi warning light!   Thank you for recommending me to try it under Chevrolet instead! I can confirm this device does work for a 2026 GMC Sierra 2500 hd 6.6 diesel  just have to select Chevrolet Silverado instead of GMC Sierra.   Maybe I'll contact Autel and let them know of that issue and maybe they will fix it for the GMC option  because some people probably return the scanner due to it not working under GMC Sierra.
