GM 2" lift installed

I saw someone ask about measurements... here is what I got on my HC - with the GM Trailboss 2" kit installed.  Stock 20" wheels and tires.  Truck looks sooooo much better with a little lift.  The ride is great, as good or better than before.  Can't wait to get my other wheels and ridge grapplers on it.

Nice, looks good! Are gonna level it? I’m curious if they would install the lift with just a 1” rear block instead of the 2”...my stock LTZ Z71 has about 1.25” rake, which I think looks pretty sweet...just want a little more height all around.

Thanks - I was thinking about it - maybe  doing a 1" level in addition to the lift, but I'm really happy with the height.   I'm going to install some new wheels and tires tomorrow and run it a while.  I don't know how much impact adding a 1" level kit would have on the steering/cameras/lane assist systems since a calibration was required for the 2" kit.  probably not much.

Cool, be sure to come back with some pics! I eventually want to get the GM lift kit and some 275/65r20 ridge grapplers with the stock wheels on my LTZ.

will do, these are the wheels n tires - took them off my '18 but had to get some 1/4" spacers to clear the front brakes on the '20.

Looks good, what size are the tires? 33x12.50?

After my own warranty debacle I have downsized from a ‘17 2500 Duramax Denali to a ‘19 1500 SLE grandpa truck. Going to lift it for sure. Originally I was planning to do the Mazzulla uca lift with King coil overs but I’m a little gun shy about voiding the warranty, also as I understand it the longer cv axles keep everything at a better angle. My dealer tells me that they also will recalibrate the power steering and the speedometer/ transmission shift points for larger tires if you buy the factory gm lift a service they refuse to offer for aftermarket lifts. Reading some of the horror stories about this 8speed transmission makes me even more hesitant to veer into aftermarket lifts until the warranty expires... advice?

Just curious on if anyone has had success getting speedo recalibrated with aftermarket lifts. I would much prefer going with the uca kit from Mazzulla but I don’t really want to go down the warranty road again... hoping to run a 305/55/20 but also not sure if it will clear with the factory “lift” and a -12 wheel... also wondering if the extended cv’s really make enough difference to matter. Maybe I’m over analyzing it, something I’m definitely known to do.

I am thinking about doing this to my 2020 HC 6.2.  I wonder if they would add a one inch spacer up front during the install...

Got the wheels and tires installed today, and decided to install the GM performance CAI as well :)  Sounds a little "throatier" with some extra pep.    I had to get 1/4" spacers to fit these wheels, as the front brakes wouldn't clear without a little more room.  Today I'm taking apart the mirror assembly to install a power tap for a dash cam, and if I'm lucky the upper dash tray to install an echo auto.

So far

Raceline Injector Wheels 20x9 0 Offset

MotoFab 1/4" Spacers

Nitto Ridge Grapplers 275/60R20

GM 2" Lift

GM Performance CAI

Removed the lower air dam dirt scraper

LED lighting in the footwells

Contemplating the 1" level in the front...

Nice, looks good! How does it ride after the tires and GM lift compared to stock? What load rating are your tires?

If I get the GM lift, I might replace the rear 2” block with a 1” block instead of adding another 1” to the front. I want to get the same tires as you or the 275/65r20 size, so I’d like them fill up the fenders a little more.

Ride is great, really can't tell much of any difference, but it "feels" better  - probably just a height thing.   These tires do rub a TINY bit on the inside of the mud flap at full lock,  but should be an easy trim, and just the bottom inside corner of it so it won't be noticeable.   Might wait for warmer weather to trim it though, its minor.   I'm almost thinking 35"'s would look better, but I need to let these $$ soak in for a while :)    I am thinking I could put these tires on the stock rims and get something a bit more aggressive for these wheels.   I did unfortunately discover the TPMS sensors don't work with this 2020 truck, using my tool and the dealership one...so they must have changed as they worked on my 2018.   I found a thread here that said new ones are required too.  This forum is about 1000x more useful than the average google search!   I'll check the load rating, can't remember what it was.

Yea I hear ya...that’s why I haven’t already upgraded tires...I only have about 2k miles on the stock AT tires so it’s hard for me to upgrade...35s and an additional 1” level in the front would be sweet. The 35x11.50x20 ridge grapplers look great on these trucks.
