I'll agree with the internet thing, both of us are here right now cause we're not working. But you're not making your justification forseeing riots, you are under estimating the current society..  Yeah I would be highly disappointed if I couldn't get to my grocery store, but I also have a Greenhouse in the back.

I have land and a garden, plenty of meat stored and what I need as well. I feel very fortunate, that isn't the point. Compare your situation to someone that lives in an apartment. You are only thinking of how this is affecting YOU and not all people. Most people are only thinking of thier own situations right now, which is understandable.

I just heard an interesting story on Tucker Carlson. There are hospitals laying off staff. They were ordered to stop elective surgeries for the bug that didn’t appear in their area. One hospital in Oklahoma just has their emergency room open. Hysteria has consequences.

All clinics and hospitals in the 4 town radius around me are empty. Looks like they are closed. And our governor said today that MN will need 5,000 hospital beds in July....which isn't consistent with any data that I have seen.

Imagine if us working stiffs were as wrong as some of these government types when calling this event. I can imagine turning in a bid that reads it’ll be between 30-60 thousand. It could be 150K to 250K. I know, I know we did social distances so well. Remember the grocery stores? Just wait until the real unemployment numbers hit. Jim Acosta is already priming the pump to blame Trump for every death that happens after the country opens.

Just because you have land, a garden, and plenty of meat is not going to have me riot because all I have is a Greenhouse on my apartment back porch.  I'll let this go...

Jim Acosta will be best remembered for being roasted by Trump.

Not surprising, more testing.  You're the numbers go to guy, I would be disappointed if you didn't hit us with a NY testing graph. You're slipping a little, it was suppose to accompany this post.

Are you pot stirring? :)

(This reply is not to you personally but to the lurkers lying in ambush, same as  your comment, right?)

I suppose everyone has a view on this testing thing and I have no trouble imagining there are ALLOT more cases than are unreported. Story goes that these cases would dilute the MR as they are 'more than likely' asymptomatic. I also hear on several news source in the last few days the there are ALLOT of deaths happening at home that are not recorded nor confirmed for the same reasons. Not enough testing or to swamped to test. Spin it as they may, the current numbers would have to be under reported by a factor of SIX to dilute the current world wide MR to 1% as many claim. That is the Worlds number of cases would have to be in excess of 10 million today and climbing more than a half million a day. Doesn't pass the smell test IMHO. Yet. The party is early and the night is young.

What I do know, being a numbers guy, is that every death recorded is also a case confirmed. Every recovery is a case confirmed. Every confirmed case ends in a death or a recovery. Ergo it is a CLOSED set. Any case not tested is not included NO MATTER what its result is. So far we have a 1.6 million point sample in a world population of 7.8 BILLION people. A drop in the bucket.

The New York Department of Health is the contributor for their state to the WHO and the Dashboard and the CDC. Those numbers are considered of high enough probability that the Governor of the State and the Mayor of NYC are making ALL command decisions based on their own data. Not the WHO or the CDC. THAT data is the data the Governors math whiz kids are data mining. There isn't a second set of "SECRET DATA" reports generated by the WHO. They get their numbers from the NYHD, they don't generate them. How many times can that be said?  It's just people doing the best they can with the resources they have to work with.

What ya' all want to do is Monday morning quarterback. Have at. Anything you say now will be long forgotten months from now when the final tally is done and said. I expect MANY count on that fact. Can't be held feet to the fire for what no one remembers.

Ain't the Internet Grand??

Very Good, and true.  But I am a retired military guy, I need some pictures. They save about 1000 words.

Basis stats I learned in grade school. We didn't have AP classes then. They just hooked you up with a college program. They weren't prep classes. Three of us in my graduating class and I was the dummy of the group. The advanced parts I learned from JSW in the 70's when sent to school while on a joint project with Getty Oil and American Can. As much as I thought I knew that class made me feel stupid.

I've forgotten 90% of it. Which is still a good bit more than John Doe. The stuff I knew by hart I now have to look up. Embarrassing but those skills really helped me understand the world around me. I should have made a living at it but I liked getting dirty too much to be a desk jockey.
