Royrage50 Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 new member here! I just bought a 2019 custom trail boss and was messing around and pushed this piece in by mistake and saw it has power running to it for something. I was wondering what piece is here on the higher trim trucks? Thanks in advance.
mafd2 Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 We have a 2020 SSV and I accidently pushed it in. Good luck putting it back without taking the bottom dash section off.
OnTheReel Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 Given the amount of blanks GM likes to use, I would expect them to make a better one that doesn’t push in.

I'm with you. At least a push in and not inside to out. We had to take all the lower crap off anyway to install the upfitter switches and other wiring and seeing what you have to take off to put it back it would've stayed pushed in. I'm glad my RST has the trailer brake controller because I'm sure I would've pushed it in.
Dunn Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 that's crazy how that can push in, but yeah its trailer brake....I have same plate in mine but knew what it was so never tried to do anything.....on other side the blank is for 110v power source in case your wondering
Royrage50 Posted April 13, 2020 Author Posted April 13, 2020 Yeah I tried using a pick set to put it back in place but no luck. Gonna take the bottom plate off tomorrow night to put it back in place. overall I’m happy with the truck. Well with the exterior. Interior is lacking pretty bad. I’ve read a lot of post about upgrades, and based on what I got my truck for, it will be a lot cheaper for me to upgrade with after market pieces rather than buying the higher package.

You should get the auto start/stop eliminator and install it at the same time you take the dash apart!!!!

Maybe try sticking some 3M two sided molding tape to it and see if it has enough sticking force to pull it back into place, or see if you can find a small suction cup. Worth a shot before having to tear the dash apart.

PearlyWh1tes Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 If you pull out the usb you can reach around and pushed it back in place and not have to take apart your dash lol, did it just the other day
