Could you show a picture of your seat area that you're asking about?

Here’s my driver seat 2018 11k miles. Installing the driver side grab handle (and using it to lift your azz off seat) helps prevent side bolster seat wear.

Definitely mention your wear to dealer if you are within 3yr 36k. You can get font and back katzskin “leather” for $550 eBay if you install yourself.

Supposedly katzskin is a little better than oem “leather”.

Yes, normal wear for a K2.....at least for my '16....real cheap painted leather....I would constantly wax the bolster on my side and use the running boards to lift off to reduce abrasion from jeans, but wife always slid her a$$ out and wore all the color off and leather thinned out......at 16K miles. Really started to look like crap, but luckily had a black interior and a magic marker covered it good enough to get an excellent condition in trade.

Either the leather used, changes in stitching and different setup for the buckets over the 40/20/40 bench - the side bolsters on the buckets have an extra layer of stitching and smaller panel with less raise on the edge but the '19 is showing no signs of wear at 10K.

My 2018 LTZ 8k mikes has more wear on the seats than my 2012 Audi Q5 with 148k on the seat.  These things are going to terrible in a few years.  I’m also 175lbs, I’m sure some of the heavier guys got to have more wear.
