Remote start will only work 3 consecutive times for 10 minutes at a time before you have to manually start your truck, then it's reset. Have you notice when you lock your truck with the FOB does the horn sounds, if not you have a door ajar or hood not shut. The horn sounding is your indication that's something is not closed properly. If your battery has a low charge a bunch of weird electrical things will occur. You should bring it to one of auto parts change store they usually check your battery for free. Have them load test it and if they are able to check for bad cells.

I have searched and searched. I cannot find the issue. I tested my battery and alternator and they are both good. I put a multimeter to the battery as it's being started and it only dropped down to 11.5V. Does anyone have any other ideas?

I'm still having issues as well, they seem intermittent. I'm going to clean grounds next and possibly run another to the frame given the one behind the engine is tough to get at.

I figured out the issue with my remote start. It was an O2 sensor code. My truck does not have a physical check engine light. It does not illuminate at all. I tested it my looking when my truck does the self-check upon startup.  The previous owner must have disconnected it somehow. I bought a tuner, ran the codes and there it was. If I clear the codes, it does not recognize the issue and works perfect. Four new O2 sensors later and we will see how it does.

    • New to this forum.  Also looking to tune a 6L80 and trying to work out all the issues in my transmission swap.  I have a 6.2 diesel (1983) and have removed the TH-400 and about to put in a 6L80 with a TCM-2600 interface and don't have a clue what I doing after that.  Did you (Leatherneck/RAV3) get your slip resolved? I too hate to spend that kind of money on a tuner that hopefully I will not need too many times although from what steelerdude15 added about the HP Tuner being great for diagnostics would be a plus.  I am also from WNC but below you in Columbus.  Any helo would be greatly appreciated.

    • Wouldn't swapping out the original AFM/DFM parts for a complete Delete Kit be the best route to go if one could afford to go that route?
    • It comes with directions but yes, generally, it's the same.  Also, get you the dipstick stuff to install dipstick so you have one.
