Ali Abdulrahim Posted October 12, 2020 Posted October 12, 2020 Any news on tuners? I have headers, full exhaust and intake on the way. I know I’ll have to tune the truck to get the full results of the power upgrades.
Firehawk99 Posted October 12, 2020 Posted October 12, 2020 So far this is your only option. https://www.hptuners.com/product/e90-modified-ecm-purchase-ecm-exchange-service/
Nick2019AT4 Posted October 12, 2020 Posted October 12, 2020 Ali, good luck with tuning your GMC, I've been waiting forever, bought 2019 GMC AT4 6.2 L 10 Speed last March, put K&N Cold Air Induction, ordered it with GMs Borla Exhaust, had it Dynoed 360HP, 384 TQ, Waiting for tune, they tell me GMC has computers locked up on there trucks. This truck is pretty quick with just this, 1/8 mile 9.23, actually beat a friend of mines 2018 Ford Raptor till he got a tune.
CamGTP Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 Yup, HP Tuners is your only option and you will have to pay someone to tune it on top of the cost for the replacement computer and unlock fee's. But what's another couple grand when you just splashed out $75,000+ CAD on a Denali plus mods.

Damn, I thought I had the only Smokey Quartz double cab standard bed AT4 in the northeast.....I only got a 5.3 8 speed though....
Nick2019AT4 Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 Jac365, nope, I ordered this truck in the summer of 2018, as far as the engine, the 5.3 which I had 4 Silverados with that engine, the 6.2 is by far a better chose. More power, better mpg, and it makes this truck a winner, if they would only unlock the computer so you can tune it, that would be perfect. 1
Nick2019AT4 Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 And the 10speed is smooth, the last 2 summers I been racing it at a 1/8 mile drag strip, with a 9.23 time, beat my friends 2008 Mustang Bullitt, his brothers 2008 Mustang GT, and 2018 Ford Raptor all with out a tune. This truck is a Monster.

This truck is a Monster. I have said this from the get go. The truck can flat out move for a 5500lb vehicle. I have also taken down countless 90s and 2000 mustangs with the older 5.0l and 4.6l. I too wish GM would allow it to be unlocked and get another 30 to 40 go out of a tune. The 10 spd though makes all the difference. It is so smooth without any clunking or skipping like my old 8 spd. Nice truck
BluegrassMotorsport Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 No tuning here either but I have to agree, the 6.2 and 10 speed combo is smooth and quick. I'm constantly surprised how much faster it is than the 5.3 6 speed combo I had in my K1. I may take mine to the trip too and see how it does.
pewterliftedz Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 (edited) A unlocked hptuners ECU is your only option. It's about $2k for a new ECU, credits, and tuning Edited October 14, 2020 by pewterliftedz
Nick2019AT4 Posted October 14, 2020 Posted October 14, 2020 GM IF YOUR LISTENING, UNLOCK THE COMPUTER, PERFORMANCE IS WHAT PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR IN CARS AND TRUCKS, GET IT DONE, OR YOUR GOING TO LOOSE IN THE LONG RUN WHEN PEOPLE GO TO FORD OR DODGE. 1

jddealer Posted October 27, 2020 Posted October 27, 2020 I emailed the company that makes Diablo tuners, and they said they'd have something out in possibly 3-4 weeks. I also contacted DiabLew who said there might be a Diablo tuner coming, but it will probably still require a total ECU swap no matter what, and that pricing will be up there. Nobody gave specifics yet, but it may not be terribly far off from HPTuners prices for all I know... since they're essentially doing the same thing. I guess we'll have to wait and see, but something IS coming... just don't know what and how much.
