I'd like to drive a Hummer EV.

I'm not sure I'm ready/willing to own one.

Have you seen the cost? I’d buy an hellcat first.

That's why I said drive, but not own.

Kinda like renting a sports car once in awhile to relieve the itch.

I won't be owning a Hellcat or GT500 either.

If Biden wins, you can say bye bye to Hell Cats, GT500 etc etc. His Gestapo will see to it.

Boys that is what a drag of .25 and a EPA MPG of 70 mpg looks like. ?

Pepper is very forgiving.

20158 Silverado is .41 but about 3X the frontal area.

Is what it is boys.

I used to see one of those in that color almost every day for about 10 years or so. I imagine it came time to replace the batteries. EV’s have their place but I prefer being able to hop in my car and drive 700+ miles non-stop on about 15 gallons...or 630-650 around town.

No high $200 registration tax either (although that obviously varies by state)

There is a red one about 25 miles from me. Not all the colors are that ugly. New battery is about $3K ish with install included. But they don't go bad often. I would consider a car like this on two conditions. 1.) It isn't UGLY and I think this one is cute. 2.) only for to and from and  around town. Even this one is a hybrid and would go much much further.

Cute?  Since when are cars cute? That term should be reserved for kittens and puppies and certain young ladies!  Even the old ads for the Mercury Cougar didn't claim they were cute, they just purrrrred at ya!  ?

2003 Golf Diesel. I should note that I’ve been using it as my commuter since 2018 and with work just 2.5 miles away all in town driving.

A friend use to drive a diesel Rabbit. Use to get pretty close to 60mpg (open highway) if my memory is correct.

The Mazda 2 Coupe (Toyota iA in the USA) I owned for a short while before I traded it for Pepper was over 50 mpg...

CXS Freight claims they can move 1 ton of freight 500 miles on ONE gallon of diesel. (diesel/electric hybrid).

The technology is there.....the willingness to use it is weak.
