Has anyone on here installed the pulsar LT control module that was recently release?  Curious how easy it is to install and how it might compare to one of the Range DFM disablers?  I can find all sorts of videos and reviews on the range module, but this product doesn't seem to have any traction yet.

Range doesn't have a DFM disabler (not including the Pulsar LT). Range has an AFM disabler.

The Pulsar took maybe 15 minutes to install and set up.

Looks like a pretty easy install:

The Pulsar LTinstalls in minutes without tools and requires no PCM modification or alteration. It is a simpleplug and play installation using factory connectors.

Nothing like mis-information....

Range definitely does have a DFM disabler. I have had one in my 2019 LT Trailboss 5.3 for a while now and absolutely love it. Great to have all 8 cylinders and start/stop disabled

Has anyone installed the Pulsar LT control module on/in a 2021 Chevy 6.2 liter. I know that it says up to 2020 and I emailed PTE Edge and they confirmed they have not tested it yet on 2021. I was just curious if anyone has tried it on a 2021.

I was wondering the same thing. I contacted DiabloSport and was told the same - they are working on it but don't have a date.  They asked if I would be interested in being in the test group and of course I said yes - but never heard back from them.

I have installed on my 2021 6.2 RST about two months ago.  No issues.  There is a whole nother thread about the Pulsar device.

I installed it about a week ago on my 2021 6.2 Trail Boss with no issues. Disabled DFM and auto start/stop and adjusted the throttle response (I like factory setting the best).

Everything works as it should.

I'd love one but they are backordered for 12+ weeks everywhere I've looked.  [emoji849]  Damn COVID.

Yeah my dad told me that last week. He said the manufacturer is waiting on the harness. I ordered mine just in time before they ran out.

Many thanks and I will install when I get home. I guess I got lucky when I ordered it. Also does anyone know anything about the exhaust upgrade for the 6.2 liter GM offers. I see they advertise a slight HP gain but I was wondering if it will interfere with my exhaust through bumper. I have a 2021 Trail boss midnight edition and do not want to lose my black exhaust tips

Don’t quote me but I’m pretty sure the GMPE fits the same as your stick exhaust, meaning no need to remove your exhaust bezels. I’m thinking about either the Corsa or Borla S type. Haven’t decided yet. For right now I just had the muffler deleted and it sounds pretty good.

    • From where I'm sitting this sounds like a compatibility problem. I'm assuming the 2007 was a 900-series truck, and not an 800-series (they were sold side-by-side in dealerships that model year), since it starts and runs.   This is why I HATE post-2006 vehicles. Everything becomes a huge problem when you try to keep the thing running for longer than the manufacturer has designed it to.    I can't remember when Global-A architecture started - either '10 or '11. For your sake, you had better hope it's '11, or you're going to be spending some BIG money to correct this cluster-eff. That's something you need to find out before doing anything else. You may have several computers bricked ... but the fact that it runs tells me you MIGHT be ok here.     EDIT: Just did a quick refresher. You're screwed. This is Global-A. The 2 systems are NOT compatible in the slightest. Once you get the correct engine in there that IS compatible, you're going to need to see how many computers are locked. Absolute NIGHTMARE to straighten out, too. Your buddy might be better off cutting his losses and finding something else.   Welcome to post-2006 vehicle electronics. This is why I quit the industry, and drive nothing built after 1994. This stuff takes all the fun out of wrenching!

    • True, hard to say what differences there may or may not be between Chev and GM as well as a production year or mid year part change either.    I just found it odd that under the Sierra choice on the Autel that many of the last few years of production year did not include the choice of changing the tire pressure but if that is an Autel thing or a GM thing as to why the choices were not there. Knowing what tpms sensors are on the truck should give some guidance into which choices on the tool even make sense to try as I wouldn't give up just yet with the tool but I guess he will see what if anything he comes up with if he finds out a bit more info and tries a few more things on the Autel.
    • I'm sure if you went to a junkyard where you go in and pull the part off the truck yourself, not a used part place where they do it for you, you can get that part on it's own.  Depending on if and what else you would be buying, and time of day, they might even just skip over adding it as a item to the bill.
