Here is the kicker!  They can utilize it all into the EV architecture.  GM for all it's shortcomings can and does have the ability to dominate and your probably going to see more EV makers disappear than proliferate because of GM in next few years.

I agree.  GM has had a love affair with EV's for decades now and is fully committed to that platform.  They actually have been for years.  They have been quietly building the infrastructure that can support the volume of EV's they plan on selling in the future.

Same goes for autonomous vehicles.   GM's Supercruise is pretty advanced (and constantly getting better) from what I have read, and I don't know if Ford or Chrysler-Fiat have anything comparable that is as ready for market.

I have gone to leasing, so new truck every three years from now on - can't wait to see what I can get in 2023!

With the money factor translating to 1.74% interest rate and the high residual (63%).........I too leased my truck.  Didn't make sense to do otherwise given that I do like a new vehicle every 3 years or so.

Agree - That was the other bonus on my trade - the 2020 is $36 a month cheaper than the 2019 and residual was 2 points higher (63% vs 61%).   $68k truck for $719 a month including tax (7.75%) tax rate - Was considering another Raptor (had 2014 and loved it), but was not really an eco boost fan - once I saw the lease vs buy numbers the AT4 was a no brainer!

Added BDS 2.5" lift kit with Fox 2.5" adj. coilover shocks and Fox 2.0's in the rear - great truck, with great suspension with a V8 - very happy with the total package!

I dont make too much of fleet sales vs regular person sales.

A sale is a sale .   Who cares who and how it was sold too.

I'm sure if Gm and RAM could get some of that Ford Fleet business they would.

They can, but choose not to. To get pricing low enough to compete they'd need to cheapen the quality of their products. While Ford has been advertising they're the #1 selling truck, GM has been saying they're the longest lasting truck. Both statements are true. I could spell out what this means, but I think you'll understand it.

Nissan survives by financing anyone with a pulse and a 450 FICO. Shoot, forget the FICO. Our local dealer runs a radio ad that anyone with a paystub showing they bring home $250 a week is guaranteed financing with no credit check. And for up to 96 months haha. Crazy.
You just described my brother, and guess what's in his driveway -- 2 Nissans.

Too bad GMC used it as inspiration for the T1 Sierras.
GMC did it better, just like a plastic surgeon and....

Great looking truck. I tend to shy away from mods on a leased vehicle but I do admire what you’ve done. I used to live in SoCal and it’s a challenge to create a unique look out there.

I just traded in my 2019 Ram Laramie last month and bought a 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 Duramax with the SLT Premium Plus package which is comparable to a Ram Laramie or a Ford F-150 Lariat.

I bought the GMC for the engine and I really like the outside looks after adding stainless steel side moldings.  As far as the interior is concerned, yes, Ram is a little more refined and/or plush.  With that said, I have no regrets and really like the GMC, especially the engine/transmission combo.

I understand the Tundra, but why the Ram? I'm genuinely curious.  Besides their interior, which I do like, what is it about them that is better?

As a happy Ram owner... Here are my honest thoughts. Their interior of course which you mentioned, the exterior is also great (though I do prefer the GMC/Chevy on the outside), world class 8 speed transmission (the 10 speed Chevy apparently shifts just as nice, but it's not available on all trims, and the Chevy 8 speed is quite bad), a great v8 available on every trim (I didn't want the 5.3 and the 6.2 which is stronger then the hemi, again, only available on costly trims).

The Ram drives/handles better, especially the rear end as it goes over bumps like railroad tracks, the coil suspension does not do that little side skip that the GM twins do with their leaf spring, and the Ram air ride dominates all else. The downside to the Ram is that it doesn't carry weight as well as the Chevy, payload is usually slightly less though that's partly because the Ram is a heavier truck and not necessarily the fault of the suspension per se.

So in short; if you're not brand loyal (and I'm most certainly not), I didn't want to pay $10,000 more for the same trimmed truck (BigHorn = LT) and get a weaker engine, a worse transmission, worse interior, and worse ride.

Now I'd definitely trade my Ram for the AT4 with the 3.0 or the 6.2 and the 10 speed. But I just can't justify it in terms of cost.

The Ram does a lot really well, for less money.

You echoed my thoughts exactly.  Interior = Ram, Exterior = GMC (I personally do not like the Chevy).  I have 4 Dodge dealership GM's live by me, so I get my fair share of seeing them on the regular and when it comes to comparing certain models I felt unimpressed.  I do have the Denali with the 6.2 and 10spd so I cannot compare to the lower models, but for me it checked all the boxes when comparing with the competition.

I do agree air ride offers the best for ride feel, I've had it for years on all my previous vehicles and my wife has and still has it, but I do feel the ARC in the denali offers great road feel as well.  Much better than lower end models, but still not the same as air, but still quite good.

I have zero brand loyalty, well maybe besides German engineered cars, but otherwise I have zero pull in any specific direction.  I go with what best fits my needs at that time and price tag.

Appreciate your feedback, aligned with what I was thinking about the Ram

Very fair assessment here.  Agreed on all points mate
