Well I can see the solution.  We need to ban lifted trucks.

It takes a stronger person to acquiesce in a traffic situation.  A dispute is not worth the potential consequences.    All of us who regularly ride motorcycles would be very bitter people if we fell into a rage when we've come across a driver oblivious to our presence!  I suspect either of these  drivers could have deescalated this particular situation and should not be driving for a while or carrying a weapon.  Driving is a privilege and if you can't play nice then you lose it!

Just before Christmas I got my first ticket since 1999. I was going with the flow on a two lane. My turn he said. Not impressed with my lack of moving violations. The judge was and deferred for 30days. Now I go the speed limit plus two no matter what. Talk about people being pissed off. I’ve never seen so much anger. I got two more days and I’ll go plus 5. That’s it get pissed. Don’t want the points.

The one thing you can take from this is, STUPIDITY does not discriminative who it lives in, does not care about the color of your skin, gender, or the safety of anyone around except themselves.

Because as we all know, you can mentally control a bullet's path after it leaves the gun, so that way you don't shoot the child, or innocent victim in the car next to the white truck. This time luckily, irony only hit the ones that deserved to be shot.

I was just up in this area. I'm surprised by the growth of Salt Lake and Utah counties. To give you an idea, go back and watch 1987 Footloose with Kevin Bacon. The mill he worked at was in this town where the road rage happened. Everything has built up and it is 1 big nonstop city for 2 hours on I-15 from Ogden to Santaquin. They rebuilt I-15 in Salt Lake County 20 years ago right before the Olympics. It was suppose to handle projected growth for 50 years. It's been 20, and it is inadequate. Californians migrated to Utah en masse, and it's now too crowded. Horrible commute around the point of the mountain. Road rage doesn't justify shooting somebody, but what I've said would at least explain the road rage.

Two laws being enforced would help with road rage. Keep right except to pass. And this goes with it. Don’t impede the flow of traffic. In other words. You’re in the passing lane speed up or pull over.

Thus, the problem.  Those 2 laws aren't being enforced.

Some patterns are obvious.

Electricity and water.

Alcohol and a serious conversation.

Guns and traffic.

I agree. It won't make you less of a person if you just walk away. Who wants to die over a stupid traffic scuffle. It's not worth it.

I’ve driven north of 2 million miles in my lifetime. Half hauling my own equipment with a one ton gooseneck. The restraint I’ve learned probably has saved my life. My younger days getting mad at someone’s stupidity never accomplished anything. Iv noticed more tractor trailer drivers getting tired of their abuse on the road. And acting on it. Never comes out good. I give them a wide berth and stay clear. Recently my 20 year old grandson was talking to his grandmother about a recent problem he encountered driving. He’s a timid defensive driver. He was driving at night in the fast lane towards Houston. He drives 5 under the speed limit. He couldn’t understand why he was being flashed. He doesn’t care to drive. Even now at 20 years old he rather play video games. All the trying to install good driving habits over the years we’re wasted. He was more interested in his game boy than paying attention to what’s around him. Not all my grandkids are like that. I does explain some of the drivers out there, clueless. What ever happen to drivers Ed in school?

Kids are more interested with gadgets and social media to pay attention to more important things in life. Getting a driver's license is all that matters to them. Road etiquette, sadly is forgotten.

I don't think some kids even care to get a drivers license until they have to.  I was driving everything I could when ever I could.  Boats, cars, three and four wheelers...cars.  My own kids, can't get them to drive anything.  My son does enjoy driving the golf cart around though.
