Frankentruck?

Someone the other day asked about the new Silverado's and how they compare to a different make of truck the OP currently owned, well that got me thinking...can you guys smell the smoke from there?

If you could combine certain characteristics of any vehicle that you previously owned and combine them into a current and modern vehicle...what would they be and how would that look? Obviously everyone's idea of perfect is different, so I thought it might be fun to discuss, I'll go first. 

 

I'd take the off-road ability and solid axle front end from my old 79 Bronco, the 6.2 and 10spd transmission from my current Silverado, pair those up in a Stepside reg cab like my 2001 Sierra and have one heck up a play truck

Keep my 2015 K2 RCSB 2WD and Gen 5 4.3-6L80E drivetrain and shrink it to the size of my fathers 1998 GMT-400. Kind of like Smokey did to the 67 Chevelle for NASCAR. 7/8 size model. Then put it on a 500# diet. Install a mid 60's real bench seat. Put at the ride height of the GMT-400 2WD. Use the 4 wheel coil set up from a mid 60's half ton with softer springs and much better dampers.  They can keep the Infotainment center and give me an AM radio.

Given my unique history vehicles, I think GM already made the Frankentruck that would result between my current truck and a previous car.  One of my previous cars was a 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT.  Combine it with my 2020 Silverado and you'd probably end up with a Chevy SSR.  However, I'd want a manual trans to go with the 6.2 and 10-speed.

I loved my 1986 Fiero GT. Beat a Porsche 911 in it going down 441 in Sarasota on the water front headed to 888 Boulevard of the Arts with a stock broker in the Porsche and my dumb-ass self in the Fiero just not caring.
Still, that Porsche was a really nice car!

My wife had two. An 04 4 speed 4 cylinder and an 06 6cylinder GT. We had fun with those little Pontiacs. I almost bought one with a V-8 conversion.
