Its the carbonpro holding everything up. That why my AT4 hasn't been build. I was legit the 1st order at my dealership and multiple orders after me have been accepted and mine still hasn't. I personally feel like GMC shouldn't have made something a standard feature if it's in short supply. Im sure plenty of people would rather have their denali ultimate now without carbonpro rather than wait

I haven’t seen anyone with a carbon pro AT4 order get accepted yet. I’m sure there are other things holding up other trims but it’s definitely the carbon pro holding up standard AT4 orders.

Looks great! I ordered the same truck. Nice to see the reserve wheels looking so good. That's the best shot I've seen of them.

Thank you both!  I'm really happy with the wheels.  Without having the spy shots of the black "regular" Denali from back in October, I would have been hesitant to order a truck with wheels I've never seen but I'm really happy with how they look.  The sales team at the dealership all were looking at them and taking pictures as they hadn't seen them either being this was the first Denali they had come through.

My order was suppose to start the week of 4-4 at fort wayne now they are saying the fort wayne plant will shut down for that week and the next but my tpw still says 4-4 as of today. Man I hope they sneek it in before the shut down. Doubtful though. Code is still 3300

Dealer looked it up for me a couple weeks ago when I first got my tpw. I guess they could change it but every denali ultimate that has been built so far has been from fort wayne.

The 3rd party supplier for carbonpro is right next to the plant in fort wayne

I chatted with Chevrolet and they said that my TPW has been moved back to 04/18 from 04/11. They said the facility it will be built at is Flint Michigan. Do you know if this is one of the facilities that will be shut down for 2 weeks? They couldnt tell me.

Just placed my order for a Elevation Crew Cab Standard Box 3.0L. Deposit made on 3/24/22 order was accepted today for production 3/30/22.

I was expecting to wait a lot longer than that. When I first walked in the dealer and told them what I want I was told 4-6 months.  Im thinking it's going to be sometime the end of May based on what I'm seeing here.

Now to start getting my 2013 2500 cleaned up and sold... Oh how I wont miss 9mpg daily driving

Hey guys, anybody having any luck placing orders on the Denali ultimate? I placed an order on March 7 and was told on the 17th that my order wasn't accepted as GM is no longer taking Denali ultimate orders.

    • I did the new thermostat after doing a 'flip' for a year. Runs as cool one way as the other in the summer but in the winter there is a bit of a floor. Yellow with the new 70 C thermostat. My data over the life of the unit to date. Still need more cooler. Anyway that floor helped both winter fuel economy and shift quality in the winter. I found it a good balance.
    • Evan Williams Bottled in Bond   So pouring the last of a bottle of Evan Williams Black label last night I set off the the state store for a refill only to be denied the by an empty shelf. Rats.    What the did have was a bottle of Evan Williams Bottled in Bond. 100 proof. Hum, a few bucks more but a known distiller. Lets have a swing at it. ( I have before )    Cracked it open and pour a serving over ice. Hum.... more heat, yes. More alcohol naturally. But the barreling not the proof brings the taste and this one came up short.    Oh is was familiar but the heat ran the barrel over like a Peterbilt runs over a squirrel. Could use a heavier toasting of the oak me thinks or perhaps a longer barreling. Who knows. But what I can say is ice or a water back isn't the answer. What kills one kills them both. Sad. It is a pleasant drink....if you have little to compare it to.
    • I've had exactly one set of Bridgestone. Lasted five year and 125,000 miles and had I known better 15oK would have been a cake walk. I would have bought a like set had they not tripled in price since the first set. I removed them at said mileage with 5/32" remaining in dead even wear all four. They were fuel efficient, quite, comfortable and predictable.    Early on I got a very good alignment checked at least once a year, sometimes twice; kept the tires properly inflated, balanced and rotated. And I've found that many a tire issue can be avoided with great maintenance practices. Lot's of tire dealers will do rotation and balance (simple) for free for as long as you own the tire they sold you so no excuse not to.    Bead prep, alloy integrity and stem health have a huge impact on inflation stability. There are more mountings done poorly that perfectly. Finding a good tire guy is gold and as important as finding a tire you like.    That 3X price increase now two sets of "other tires' later is starting look like a bargain.      Bad maintenance kills more tires than bad tires.
    • Atlas, you kill me As aggravating as a project like this can be you have been unable to hide your fascination with learning and using that angst against this beast like a Ninjitsu Master. It amuses you, admit it now.      BTW, love your writing style. 😉
    • I gotta say, I'm enjoying your narration. The troubles you've been having are amusing as you describe them. It's good to see that you're finally getting some satisfaction out the old beast though.
