Hey guys, anybody having any luck placing orders on the Denali ultimate? I placed an order on March 7 and was told on the 17th that my order wasn't accepted as GM is no longer taking Denali ultimate orders.

have heard Denali Ultimate orders are fulfilled for this MY22. They will open again this summer late for MY23 is what my dealer told me. I would call dealers tho, people can change mind and you can snag an order or reservation spot. I actually just got told my Duramax Denali Ultimate has a build date, VIN. Dealer thinks I should get it in May/June possibly

I chatted with Chevrolet and they said that my TPW has been moved back to 04/18 from 04/11. They said the facility it will be built at is Flint Michigan. Do you know if this is one of the facilities that will be shut down for 2 weeks? They couldnt tell me.

Fort Wayne, Indiana was the only plant mentioned by GM. Who knows though.

Just FYI from my dealer:

They told me Denali trim Sierras are on constraint for two months last week.

I'm not sure if this also applies for Denali Ultimate vehicles

Nobody is paying ADM on their new refreshed Silverado or Sierra are they? This is from a dealer in So Cal. Hopefully nobody is going to pay this. Make sure you speak to your dealer about pricing before your truck shows up.

100% guarantee someone will pay it. $5k on $83k isn’t even a big percentage mark up versus what has been seen over the last year.

Me? I’m not, but I’m also not in SoCal. Dealers here sell for MSRP or under. I have an order in that I’ll pay supplier pricing (about $4k under MSRP) for when it shows up, but I also qualify. I don’t think I’d even pay MSRP, I just wouldn’t buy a new truck.

Once an order has been submitted about how long does it take for GM to accept it ?  Or is this like asking how long does it take to catch a fish ?

the order was for 2022 Sierra Denali.

Finally got an email from GMC saying that my order was moving to production. 5 weeks after getting email confirmation that they've accepted the order. Contacted GMC chat support and was able to get an estimate TPW of 4/4/22.

Thought I would add my two cents in here to add to the knowledge base.

Reserved a Denali Ultimate back in Oct when they first opened up.

I think the ordered got accepted around Feb 14th

Supposedly got picked up and went to 3100 status on March 4th

Got an email from GMC stated the vehicle was scheduled for production March 30th.

And a call from the dealership today April 1st saying it had been produced and he was able to provide a VIN.

This is my first experience ordering a vehicle so I really don't know what all this means just trying to provide color and timing to everyone else ordering vehicles during the "Great Supply Chain Depression".

Was also told by the dealership that they had a new policy and I had 24hrs to pick up the vehicle once they received it lol!

With all the horror stories of people paying above MSRP on new vehicles I have no idea on how to stop that from happening when the truck actually shoes up but we will see I guess.

Dealer Markups

markups.org use this website to help promote dealers that aren’t charging ADMs or over sticker. Also use this to put dealers that are charging over sticker. We need to funnel business away from dealers that charge markups. It’s out of hand.

I ordered a GMC 3500 Denali in February, the dealer called me 2 weeks later to say the order was accepted and they needed a refundable deposit for the order. I was given a build number from the dealer. I checked the status with the automated system, and it said order received from dealer but not accepted. Is the system not reliable,  or did the dealer just want the deposit before the order is really accepted?

Ordered my refreshed elevation 1500 on 3/4. Moved to 3000 on 3/22 and 3400 on 4/2. TPW of 4/18.

Hoping to see a Fort Wayne build as I am in Metro Detroit.

How long did it take for you to get a build number from your dealer ?

    • Still looks like a rivet to me in the pics, I don't see a nut and none of the pics show the head of the screw. But if you says so.....
    • Thanks for all the help so far!   I did try right from 2026 right down to 2021, and only from 2023 down lets me select the option for tire psi change, but I get the vehicle not supported error!   I'll definitely try it under Chevrolet after work today, and I'll get the sensor number from gm for my truck tire sensors. And I'll let you know if it works for me under Chevrolet!   And if that doesn't work, I'm going to guess that what @Atlas said about maybe I have a different body control module could be true!
    • From where I'm sitting this sounds like a compatibility problem. I'm assuming the 2007 was a 900-series truck, and not an 800-series (they were sold side-by-side in dealerships that model year), since it starts and runs.   This is why I HATE post-2006 vehicles. Everything becomes a huge problem when you try to keep the thing running for longer than the manufacturer has designed it to.    I can't remember when Global-A architecture started - either '10 or '11. For your sake, you had better hope it's '11, or you're going to be spending some BIG money to correct this cluster-eff. That's something you need to find out before doing anything else. You may have several computers bricked ... but the fact that it runs tells me you MIGHT be ok here.     EDIT: Just did a quick refresher. You're screwed. This is Global-A. The 2 systems are NOT compatible in the slightest. Once you get the correct engine in there that IS compatible, you're going to need to see how many computers are locked. Absolute NIGHTMARE to straighten out, too. Your buddy might be better off cutting his losses and finding something else.   Welcome to post-2006 vehicle electronics. This is why I quit the industry, and drive nothing built after 1994. This stuff takes all the fun out of wrenching!

    • True, hard to say what differences there may or may not be between Chev and GM as well as a production year or mid year part change either.    I just found it odd that under the Sierra choice on the Autel that many of the last few years of production year did not include the choice of changing the tire pressure but if that is an Autel thing or a GM thing as to why the choices were not there. Knowing what tpms sensors are on the truck should give some guidance into which choices on the tool even make sense to try as I wouldn't give up just yet with the tool but I guess he will see what if anything he comes up with if he finds out a bit more info and tries a few more things on the Autel.
