Well, I didn't want to lead anyone on a goose chase.

I checked the GMC website this morning and my truck has been removed from available inventory.

It has also been removed from the dealers website.

Not sure what happened, it was up there for at least (1) day ...... sure was nice to see it 😀

Perhaps it was removed because it is been put on a truck for shipping, ..... wishful thinking.

Mine did the same thing on GMC website and then the dealer put it in thier website until month after I picked it up.

bottom right, ask for an agent and then for a build update

So I was able to get my order number off my cashed check and the person in the chat said that the order had been received but not approved yet. I wonder what the process is of approving an order. The person said it can take a couple weeks which we are at right now.

i ordered mine end of the summer and got an "approval" email from GM in December

I placed my order with my dealer on December 11th, got an email from GM on December 13th that the order had been placed. January 19th got an email saying it was being built. Feburay 5th email said it was on the way to my dealer and it showed up today on February 6th. It's a GMC 3500 dually SLE with gas engine. I'm in western Illinois so I'm not real sure it was shipped on the 5th and showed up on the 6th but maybe it was who knows.

After I learned that my 1st '24 High Country was built in white instead of blue, I built another one in blue on the website. After I finished the build, the website said that my local dealership had one in inventory! I looked it up, and it was the same vin as the one that was built white instead of blue, so apparently, they were going by my 1st build and thought it was built in blue. I never did get to see the white version, as it got shipped out of town to a female that bought it immediately.

My order went in today as dealer received a new allocation for AT4X.  It drives so well with the multimatic shocks, hard to believe it is an HD.  Volcanic Red, gas, no AEV (I prefer it without to be honest).  Very curious to see what kind of tailgate cap I get 😉

Slightly concerned about all the electrical gremlins and left side power running board.  But mechanically, I think GM still builds a solid truck.

Totally normal. Mine did the same thing. It was on Chevy's website for 24 hours and then went down. A friend of mine ordered at the same time and it happened to him as well.

When they build these new vehicles with 7+ onboard computers, there are going to be some glitches. After my first few weeks of running board issues on my '22, and the dealership re-flashed the computer, I haven't had one issue with them. My '24 hasn't had that happen either.

Way more than 7. Try over 20!

That is great to hear!  I am optimistic.  We all know that as soon as anyone has a problem they run to a forum to post it, but few ever share the praise.  I have had great luck with my 2020 Sierra 1/2 ton.

The power running board issue seems to be fairly universal with moisture getting in to the area (maybe GM drill holes in the running board too? 🤣).  I read another guy say there is an option on the running boards to have them go up and down as the truck is put in and out of park, which makes so much sense to me, but that the feature does not work.  That must be a programming issue.  Like all of you guys, I value my time, and just don't want to be back and forth to the dealership for stuff.  In the end, I trust the L8T motor and GM / Allison tranny.  The other issues should be completely solvable, and hopefully GM puts in the effort to do so.

If this was an option, I would have ordered the power running boards. I have a friend who has them on his F150 and them going in an out constantly drove me nuts.

Well, it is in the system settings as an option.  Apparently it is not programmed properly.  An update should fix it.  My truck is not yet built so maybe it will work on mine.

I'll take rock rails tucked under the body any day over all the steps the factory offers.  But the AT4X is so tall, the power boards are a welcomed inclusion.

I wouldn’t have even put running boards on but with the wife and kids being height challenged, it was a pre requisite to getting the truck haha

    • Thanks for response. Leak was right under drivers seat or thereabout.   Had checked by other mechanics and have read other information.   The solution can be a tad complicated and replacing multiple parts And with some.  The issue was still the same.   The brakes do work.   Just that the pedal is softer and goes further down.  But the brakes do work.
    • Breaking News!    I'm going to tell you that I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I told  you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I'm about to tell you on the other side of the break.  Then we're going to break. Then I'm not going to tell you what I told you I was going to tell you.  But I'll tell you something else that is Breaking News just coming to the desk that everyone reported on yesterday.  Then I'll tease a human interest telling I'll get to on the other side of a larger break. Then I'll tell you one item in 20 seconds and go back to an even longer break. Longest break of the night.  Then I'll tell you a fluff piece that takes 10 seconds and sign off into a three minute break while you wait for the next 30 minutes of rinse and repeat on the local news.    In al you'll get about 12 minutes of something, 5 minutes of which is worth hearing in a 30 minute show and 18 minutes of advertising at a sound level twice as loud as the news.    Of course you can switch to cable news and hear 12 different people tell the same four stories in much the same format as the Network News for 20 hours of which the majority will be advertising.  And four hours of late night Specials about things you wonder why you stayed up to listen to. Half of which will be repeats.....   OR you can go for a drive
    • Did you ever figure this out? My 2022 Trail Boss, and now my 2026 LT did this from time to time.  I believe it was more connected to Android Auto and my phone being the cause. Maybe try going for a drive, sans cell phone.... and see if it happens?
    • I have a 2026 Silverado LT, the non bose as well.  Upgrading the door speakers is pretty straightforward. You could honestly go to walmart, or Auto Zone/ O Reilly and get a set of 6x9s for the front, and 6.5s for the rear. You do also have to get some adapters for each, but they are like $10 a pair on Amazon. Then some plug and play harnesses that are about $10 a pair on Amazon as well.  And I would also suggest a 10 pack of the Amazon Basics sound deadening. Slap that all around the speakers and on the open metal of the inside of the door. And your golden.   I am currently doing this with my Silverado. Although I am having a bit of trouble because I am snooby I guess and bought some Alpine S2 S69c's which are 2 way components and I am having to wire from the door up to the dash....  Having never installed speakers before, its taking me just a bit to get everything correct. But if you dont buy expensive component speakers, and just some $40-$50 door speakers. You will DRASTICALLY improve the sound over these stock paper cone junk speakers. I thought my Silverado had an issue with the radio/ sound for a while.  Come to find out.  The stock speakers are just THAT SH*TTY   I cannot wait to have some decent sound in the truck   What did you end up doing?
    • Its all automatic based on yaw sensor data.  If enough incline is detected, it engages.   My recommendation though would be to disengage it before driving off and not let it auto disengage by touching the gas pedal.  The HD trucks use the same setup as prior years, the drum in hat park brake.  But now with an electric actuator.  If you drive off repeatedly over time, it can torque the park brake shoes and can also prematurely wear them out.           Electric console shift will set the park brake on flat ground too.  Pretty sure they've got it programmed to activate every time.
