2014 1500 Transmission Swap

Hello, first time posting. I'm sure it has been asked prior to my post but I'll be honest 101 pages is a lot to go through. I'm looking at replacing my current (6 speed) transmission with either the 8 speed or maybe a 10 speed. First big question I have, because so far my research hasn't provided many answers is if an 8 or even a 10 speed could in fact fit into my 2014. Secondly, would the computer or any other electronics need updating inorder to support a newer transmission?

No can do.  The 8 and 10s are wired totally differently and the TCMs are external.  

 

Only option would be a rebuilt, new or beefed up 6L80, or trade in for a newer truck.
