Afm/dfm camshaft lifter replacement

Hello all,

I have a 2013 gmc sierra 1500 with 55k. I want to disable the afm/dfm. Then I started looking at removal kits that have cams, lifter ect.

I am asking if anyone have done it and what brands are the best

Anything from Texas Speed or Brian Tooley Racing. Those both have kits available and both are good companies to use.

 

I highly suggest just a stock non DoD camshaft if you want a hassle free experience that only requires tuning to shut off the DoD system and all of the check engine codes that go along with it.

 

If you put in a larger camshaft than stock, you'll need a custom tune done by a shop and hopefully they know what they are doing.
