I have a 2015 Corvette with the articulating screen - no problems in the 11 years I have owned it.
I am drawn to the new AT4X - I might spring for the AEV package this time.
Or I could go with the Denali IF they have a max tow option. From the Silverado information it does not look good as all 4WD will come with the Z71 package.

one thing I never understood about the SLT was that you could not get the Technology Package that you could get on the Silverado LTZ.

Another massive smartphone in the dash! I guess one wasn't enough. Just what I want. 🙄

At this stage GM would have to pay ME to drive anything they've built the past 20 model years. Once was enough for me. Learned my lesson.

Hopefully, for consumer's sake, they pick something that works this time around.

The 2027 Ultimate is my #2 choice,as long as they will offer the painted wheelwell flairs. #1 is the Yukon Ultimate. The new gas engines don't matter to me. I'll go diesel either way.

Well I think GM nailed the exterior styling on both the GMC and the Chevy. I actually like the mid-century modern influenced interior of the GMC. Dropping the SLT is a bummer as I thought that was the sweet spot. Hopefully this expands the options available on the Elevation trim. Won't miss the SLE which was just Worktruck+ to me.

I could be interested if they axed cylinder deactivation and at least have a button for stop start. I’m sure the HP numbers will be higher. I would want a longer warranty to help build confidence. I’m a less is more guy as I get older. A V-8 work truck model would be my choice. I know a few outfitters for custom additions I prefer.

Yes! Start/stop is great in theory, but horrible in actual use. Please eliminate that useless feature.

My brother in law was sitting in Houston Traffic during rush hour going to work. He forgot to hit the button. He was at a light his VW wouldn’t restart. It took an hour for a tow truck to get to him. He said it was the scariest hour of his life. It took him to an auto zone he put in a new battery. He was late for a meeting at work. All for another useless government mandate.

Anytime the government mandates something, you can bet on it being absolutely senseless.

You do realize that auto stop/start...was never mandated by the fed...right?

It was all part of the tiny bit of fuel savings it goes towards what was mandated by the government. Much like cylinder deactivation. That was relaxed by the recent administration. All that doesn’t help the individual buyer. But as a whole helps the manufacturer to try to reach the previous ridiculous past mileage per gallon mandate. So yes it was mandated and added cost to the vehicle.

If his battery was that bad I would think it would have been showing signs before this that were ignored.

Stinks that it happened the way it did in rush hour traffic, but this seems like a pretty fringe scenario.

I don't mind it that bad and never turn it off. The only slight annoyance for me is the slight delay between brake to gas, but I have gotten used to it and figure if it can save a little gas why not.

AFM is confirmed in the Corvette engine, so I'm assuming the higher volume trucks will get it as well

Batteries don’t always show signs of a few years ago my vehicle started fine in the morning and took me to work. After work the battery was completely dead and I needed a jump. No, I didn’t leave anything on and the battery was only a couple months old. It was replaced under warranty.
