First truck: 1990 Toyota 4x4 X-cab, V6, 6-speed manual, moon roof, Manik grill guard. Bought it used in 1994 with 52,000 miles on it. Now has 356,000. Very few failures, just gas, tires and oil changes. Probably 10,000 miles of this have been on dirt roads, logging roads, etc. It's now just my "hiking" truck. It's has so little value I don't mind leaving it unattended at trailheads when I take off into the back country.

Second "truck": Well, not really a truck, but a 3/4 scale plastic model of a truck. In February 2007 I bought a new (not even built yet, I had to wait for it) Toyota Tacoma, 4x4, V6, 6-speed manual, X-cab, trailer package, TRD Off-Road package, premium sound system, etc. This was supposed to be a replacement for the old Toyota. (Glad I kept the old one!!) All I really wanted was the rear doors that opened. WHAT A PIECE OF CRAP!!!! These vehicles should not be on the road in my opinion, they have so many design flaws, not the least of which is superbly poor driver visiblity, unstable rear end with a load in the bed, (which will likely end up in the road when the plastic bed punches through), seats designed by an orthopedic surgeon only so he can get more business repairing people's broken backs, 16 miles per gallon out of a 4.0 Liter V6 which is absurd. I could go on for many pages listing the faults with those things. I hated this vehicle two weeks after I bought it, kept it for 5 months and 6,100 miles and took it to the GMC dealer and said, "I ain't driving that thing home. Whatta ya got to trade?"

Current truck: What the GMC dealer had to trade. 2006 GMC Sierra SLT Extended cab, 4x4, 5.3 Liter, trailer package, G80, etc. Love this truck, had 25,000 when I bought it, just rolled over 46,000. I get 18 MPG around town and 22 or so on the highway. The only problem is the heated leather seats are so comfortable I don't want to get out of the truck, so I am late for work a lot because I fall asleep in the truck in the company parking lot.

My other two trucks are motorcycles.

Damn you Chris :( ....You had a Syclone?!? :banghead: You never told me you had a Syclone

Now I do hate you!!!

I owned it before I had a digital camera, so I need to take the actual photos I have and scan them into the 'puter. It sure was a fun vehicle...I can't decide which is/was my favorite, the Syclone or the SS.

I would say the Syclone would be my choice,For two reasons.....because I'm more of a truck guy than a car guy,and because its rarer than the SS (They made fewer of them)

BTW....Bring pictures of it to the tune meet in May,I'll bring pictures of all my previous trucks :M16:

Here is the run-down of the trucks/SUV's that I've owned in chronological order. I don't have any digital pics scanned for the first few...I'll get around to scanning those in one of these days.

1. 1993 Chevrolet S-10 (first vehicle I owned) RCSB, red, 2wd, 2.8l V-6, 5 speed...mods: tinted windows, wheels/tires, & stereo. 6 months old when I purchased it.

2. 1998 Chevrolet S-10 ZR2 package, extended cab, red, 4x4, 4.3l V-6, automatic, loaded...mods: tinted windows & stereo. I ordered this new from the factory.

3. 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Dark Grey Metallic, V-8, leather, every option but navigation...mods: tinted windows. This was 3 years old when I purchased it.

4. 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 5.3L, 3.73, LS package, tow package, etc....mods: tinted windows & wheels/tires. I ordered this new from the factory and it was a hell of a truck. I sold it to a neighbor and it hurts each time I see it...I still miss it...

5. 2004 GMC Yukon Denali AWD, 6.0, nav, every option I think...mods: tinted windows. I sold my wife's 1st Lexus and bought this used (2 years old) b/c she thought she wanted an SUV. A year later we ended up selling it for another Lexus (and our last POS Toyota product) b/c she thought the Denali was too big :(

6. 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 5.3L, 3.73, LT package, tow package, etc....mods: tinted windows. I bought this one new off the dealers lot. I sold it a little over a year later b/c I preferred the Sierra front end and was already tired of keeping up with the flat black paint.

7. 2008 GMC Sierra Current ride...pic/mods/details in sig below. I bought this one new off the dealer lot. I am planning to keep this one for awhile :banghead: .

1968 Chevy P/U 250 straight six 3 on the tree. Probably my favorite truck.

1987 Dodge Dakota 4 banger. Graduation present, I always new my parents didn’t love me.

1978 Ford Ranger full size straight six. I bought it because a friend needed money and I wanted to wreck it. We played demolition derby on the freeway and rolled it a few time while off-roading it.

1998 Chevy S-10 2.2 liter. This was the first real car I bought and was my baby. It was lowered and nice wheels and tires had the whole stereo thing, it was a sharp little truck. I eventually swapped the motor with the 4.3 and damn that was fast. But it eventually got an electrical gremlin so I sold it.

1988 S-10 Blazer 2.8 V-6. I bought this for $200 to get me back and forth to work while I sorted out the electrical problems with my other S-10. We nick named it the hot rod. It probably was the worst looking truck anybody ever saw. It had the lovely 80’s paint peel the interior was wrecked, only one lock worked and it was the back glass. My choices were to lock it getting out and then had to crawl from the back to the front, or I left it unlocked. It had the world worst lifter tick; the tick was so loud that you could hear it over the exhaust leak. I think every piece of the exhaust had at least 2 leaks per piece, except for the muffler, it was torn in 2. The front seat was broken so I had to drive around with that stupid gangster lean; you know leaning way back to the side. If you tried to roll down the windows you had to hold onto it or it would fall inside the door that would happen from time to time when driving but only when it was pouring rain. I had it for 2 years and it never quit running on me once. That thing was a beast, I gave it to a guy and it still runs.

1999 Ford Xploder. That really wasn’t mine it was my wife’s, but that piece of fu$& s^!+ caught on fire on my way home from work one night.

1995 Toyota Tacoma to replace the xploder. Good little truck so far, 4x4 19 – 23 mpg. It was a good price and in couple years we will turn it into a fulltime off-road truck.

2008 Silverado 4.8 4x4 1LT Victory Red extended cab. It is still stock need to do everything to it. It needs a lift, wheels, tires, tune, bars/sliders, front / bumpers, sound system up-grades, would like to put an interior roll cage.

IIRC...

1967 Chevy RCLB 1/2t. 283,3 on the tree.Rebuilt a 327 from my wife's '64 Impala wagon & put in it.Great runner after that. When the 283 was in I would ''fill the oil and check the gas'',real bad oil burner

1979 Ford F-250,bought new,real good truck,would haul anything I threw in it.Made an overhead console where I put the CB,graphic equalizer,and a clock.Had it 2 1/2 yrs. and sold it.Real bad mileage.

1978 Toyota LB,beat the shit outa that thing, eventually the tranny went bad and sold it.

1984 Toyota 4X4,RCLB,SR5.This was my fav. truck until I got my current Burb.Got shitfaced one day and totaled it off-roading.

1970 Ford RCLB,1/2t.,biggest POS I ever owned.Nuff said.

1977 GMC Sierra Grande Camper Special 3/4t.,454,th400.Up until my son wrecked it last year EVERYTHING worked on it including A/C & CC.I miss it.... a hell of a truck

1999 GMC Suburban K1500(wifey's ride) all stock except custom wheels & tires.Almost like showroom condition.

1995 Chevy Suburban K2500,454,4L80E,lifted,Comp cammed, winch,DVD player,CB,LT305/70R/16 tires, tow the toy hauler with this beast...

I don't pay much attention to HP,I also tend to keep my vehicles for years.

Started with a 1990 B2000

Ordered a Nissan Hardbody KC SE V6 5-speed. First good looking truck in my opinion and first mini truck with a V6. Thought it was going to be a hot rod, but truck weighed over 2 tons.

Then the 1990 Chevy caught my eye with its all blacked out Sport Package and smooth hardware and styling. Test drove one and I couldn't believe how well it drove compared to my smaller "sport truck". Ordered one up with every option but dual battery I think, and got it 10 weeks later.

WOW!!!! What a looker, and still is.

Moved on to my 2001 Ford SVT Lightning that I also ordered (they put your name on the window sticker if you order it). Raced this bad boy (showing off my power tailgate system) open track here in SOCal for 4-5 years before I got tagged in the rear by a BMW in the chicane and stuck a concrete barrior at Fontana Speedway, totaling it (see video of me racing).

post-2543-1234661056_thumb.jpg

Replaced the Lightning with a Ram SRT-10 6-speed. WOW again. This is currently up for sale.

post-2543-1234661362_thumb.jpg

Thats it for my trucks for now.

I am thinking about the new 2010 1500 with the new 4.5L diesel, and possibly trying it on the track.

My rides and some on the family farm...

51 Chevrolet 1 1/2 ton grain truck - slow but still works.

64 GMC pickup - some old bag ran into my brother and now it's wrecked and gone

79 Chevrolet pickup - fun ride, currently getting repainted and then comes a 383 I'm thinking

85 GMC pickup - Nice rig refished, way underpowered with the 305 until a new 350 arrived

89 S10 - Rebuilt 4.3 with 250+ HP. Bigger tires, it's a billy goat around the hills and keeps pace with new pickups on a dragstrip

04 GMC - Comfy, good mpg, nice for trips. Only complaint is th interior plastics are cheap and rattle and wish it had a 6-speed
