How's it going? I am now a proud owner of a 02 CCSB LT. I am coming from a 2000 Diesel Excursion. I will miss the psd but hope I will be happy with the HD. I have been reading this forum for the past month and decided to purchase the chevy after hearing what people have been saying about the trucks. My two questions are

 

1. If I were to get a pcm tune. How much will it decrease the life expectancy of my engine and tranny. I am a traveling sales rep and want this engine to last over 200K. I will be using synthetic oil and hoping to see a long relationship with my new truck.

 

2. Has anyone seen a mpg improvement with a hard tonneau cover?

1) The PCM will help your engine run way more efficient. Shortening longevity should not be a concern.

 

2) Yes, bed covers definitely do not hurt gas mileage.
