Front Rotors

Well my front rotors have been warped for some time. The dealership turned them but turning rotors just prolongs the inevitable. I got fed up finally and went to Napa to get replacements.

They inputted all my data about my truck 2006 GMC Sierra Extended Cab 4 door 4x4 and came up with 12 inch rotors. Later that afternoon I went to take my stock rotors off and noticed a huge size difference. My stock rotors are atleast 13 inches in diameter. Went back to Napa and was like WTF over. They inputted all my data again and said sorry tough luck but thats all we have for your truck.

What the hell is going on? Is there some secret squirrel package or something that said I get 13 inch rotors? Is it the Z71 package?

Help me fellas im about to go crazy with the steering wheel wobble. I would also hate to order from online stores and after haggling with shipping they get here and i get 12 inch rotors. Kinda makes me want to kick a puppy.

Well, when my truck need the rotor I went to Kragen and they had it there and they also wanted to give me a smaller rotor which wouldn't fit, but when I went to Kragen I took my stock rotor to compare it with the new one I bought. If there is a Kragen around the area you live go over there and look for it there and take your stock rotor to make sure it will fit. Also, in 2006 all the truck got bigger rotors than the old ones.

False. Model year 2005 saw improved, larger front brakes and also the return of rear drum brakes.

You can go to the parts store...and tell them you have an '05. They should have a listing.

Either way, the '05, 06, and OBS 07 brakes are all the same.

Are you still under factory warranty?? If you had your rotors machined not too long ago, and they are pulsating yet again, take the truck back to the dealer and let them fix it again.
