  1. Finally got around to installing the Eibach 2.0 Pro Kit. Not a bad install but since I also installed the Trail Boss half shafts and Cognito UCA's it took me 5 hrs. So far I love it. The ride is so much better and the front end doesn't bottom out going over speed bumps like it did before. To me it was well worth it and since the shops around here wanted $1,200 to install it, I figured I could save some cash. I have new wheels for it and getting new Toyo Open Country ATIII's tomorrow. I got 47k out of the factory Bridgstones. I also installed a 2" block in the back.
  2. Hey guys, I am a little new to this truck space and I am looking to change my rear differential assembly as my original one broke in an accident. I am looking at some used options. I currently have a 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 custom trail boss 2.7 L 4WD with a 3.42 gear ratio rear differential and I was wondering if I could put on a 3.23 rear differential from another Chevy Silverado 1500 in our generation? Are all of these rear differentials compatible with the different engine models? Also, if I do change the entire rear differential assembly to a 3.23 will I need any other parts or can I just put that on as is? Thank you in advance and any advice is appreciated!
  3. Hello all, My Sway bar was hitting my CV axle, as the title says. So I crawled under some trucks at the dealer to see what stock trucks are like and it turns out that the new TB/AT4's have longer end links then my 2020 TB. The new end link has a 3 inch rod vs the 1-3/4 inch OE part. The part number for the longer end link is P/N:85590925
  4. I have loud noises either coming from the tires or from driveline only 40,000 mi on it anyone else dealt with this? Also need trans fluid recommendations is it the Dex6 or is it Dex HP? The transmission kind has a little shift flair or slide bump shift from 1st to 2nd I hope this truck isn't starting to fall apart. The noise I mentioned is crazy loud even can feel vibrations through the floor when getting up to speed is it these tires or is there some other possible issue? It comes with these off road tires any input on this I would appreciate thank you.
  5. I'm sure these types of questions are asked daily but I'm wondering if 2020 18" Trailboss wheels will fit my 2021 Custom that currently has the stock 20" wheels on it. Thanks!
  6. I just purchased a Readylift sst 2” lift for my trail boss and then came across forums about the cv angle this particular kit causes. I want to know if the kit in the link below will work to drop the diff enough to correct the bad angles, or if anyone has a link to a different kit! Thanks in advance! https://www.ebay.com/itm/283619576133?hash=item42090b4945%3Ag%3ABYQAAOSw4Rdj0nLM&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAABAJGUZfoNyzgvlZe3ei30yhZXR27Wi9kfz7BB%2B6nWsgr0NpRdhPXlwl6SI8KTdrclCHdN2a7zGMK9FtXzzPUbYZzMdTMQL3loBX19toU3jhRcuUepMpb3OeMVkcNT2OE6T7joTVf2riRKkip6M4EtK1%2F7qgQGtC9W%2F72v7Bpc8RiHD1WtGmqFACROHepH6zRqgnV%2Bfs%2FtvaVd4VH0PHlCZhr%2FsqEw8xZaYvCqegf1ptZ66hhSXqrEfVr2R9jNVqI64NoIED5kmdHaVC%2FR2v0iXmhomqAMUbGUtkMjGtmCXjGtmgO74%2B9dGCHRx%2F%2BKk0PRSVgYrd5edQGZVHPxby9lZHo%3D|tkp%3ABFBMyOeFt_5h&fits=Submodel%3ALT+Trail+Boss|Year%3A2020|Engine+-+Liter_Display%3A5.3L|Model%3ASilverado+1500|Make%3AChevrolet|Trim%3ALT+Trail+Boss+Crew+Cab+Pickup+4-Door|Engine%3A5.3L+5328CC+325Cu.+In.+V8+GAS+OHV+Naturally+Aspirated
  7. Truck friends! I am looking to find an OEM rear bumper for my trail boss. Looks like someone bumped mine and although most don't notice it, its driving me crazy. I am looking for a used one that someone pulled from their truck or a decently priced OEM retailer. I've called around and it seems no one has stock in salvage yards yet of these trucks. Any help would be great!
  8. Looking at purchasing a trail boss but after taking one for a drive I felt it was a big step in, I am not really concerned about it for myself but my wife may grow tired of jumping up into the truck and we also have two small kids. I was looking at adding the gm rectangular assist step with the deal but I am not sure if that will help the step up into the truck, or if I am better off going with some hoop side steps that come down a little more. If there is anyone out there with a trail boss with side steps do they make entering and exiting the vehicle easier? Pics would be great. i am used to getting into my 2500hd with the factory side steps so I figured this would be pretty similar I just can not find a trail boss at the dealer with side steps to try it out. Thanks
  9. Good evening, I have 2020 Chevy Trailboss 1500 5.3 I recently ran into the issue of the water pump pulley breaking and wanted to see if anybody knows if it’s possible to just change out the pulley or would I have to change out the whole water pump?
  10. Anyone install a Retrax Pro XR cover on the new 2019 Silverado LT Trail Boss Crew Cab Short Bed? Curious how well it fits overall and with the tailgate. Also curious how well it installs. Any recommendations on where to buy from? Pictures would be great. Thanks in advance for any info.
  11. I haven't seen anyone with official numbers. displaying the height of our trucks so I decided to pull it in the garage and measure up a couple of points. Keep in mind, this is a 2019 Trail Boss Custom, Z71, Crew Cab, Standard Bed, with ~3000miles. Everything is completely stock and the tank was 95% full. I measured the following heights; - all 4 corners(at the fender) measured at the center of the wheel - front diff (lowest point) - rear diff (lowest point) - front shroud/bumper (lowest point) I've taken the measurements twice, once SETTLED and once UNSETTLED. To better define the terms, the settled measurements were taken by simply driving the truck in the garage, and measuring. I weigh around 200lbs ( seems to matter as there was a little lean tot he driver side). The unsettled measurements were taken by, lifting the vehicle, front and back, just to the point where the tires were off, then slowly letting the jack down and removing it. SETTLED Measurements; DS front - 39 1/4" DS rear - 41 3/8" PS front - 39 1/2" PS rear - 41 3/8" front diff - 13" rear diff - 9" bumper - 13 5/16" UNSETTLED Measurements; DS front - 39 7/8" DS rear - 41 1/2" PS front - 40 1/8" PS rear - 41 3/8" front diff - 13 3/8" rear diff - 9" bumper - 14" I've added all the pictures to this gallery ----> I've attached a couple of critical photos I think everyone should be aware of.
  12. Alright, before you say you don’t hear anything let me explain first. This video posted below is my 2021 Trail Boss 3500k miles and has the most annoying exhaust sound. I know there’s some serious pro’s on here who could tell me what’s going on. Essentially any time I start it up high RPM, accelerate, or decrease RPM’s I’m greeted with this annoying metallic rattling noise coming from exhaust. Took it to dealer who claims it’s normal (per-usual) and says it’s the liters I can hear in the exhaust tone. They checked exhaust donuts and heat shields and found no issue. However you can hear a rattle and what sounds like an exhaust leak. Was told it’s a flapper but it’s not, flapper is toward back passenger side. This is front passenger side. I could best describe it as escaping air coming from somewhere near the manifold I’d assume. Almost like a metallic farting exhaust noise for lack of better description. Videos to follow of noise while commuting.
  13. Hey everyone! Has anyone found a company that currently offers a Roof Rack system (Not Universal or Cross Bar Clamp i.e. Rhino Rack) for the new 2019 Silverado? Added a picture of what I'm talking about. There are a lot for Colorado's models but nothing for Silverado! Ugh I know of a company RMT Overland who has one, but is only sold as a package direct to the dealerships as a "Turn Key" Overland Silverado. (Also Pictured) I have tried several attempts to contact RMT but they will not reach back out, I think cause I'm not a dealership maybe? i Dunno.
  14. So i finally pulled the trigger and installed a light bar on my 2019 Trailboss. I wanted a bumper mount, but refused to drill holes. SoAfter looking all over ZROADZ was the only mounting option i could find. So I bought these ZROADZ mounts https://zroadz.com/i-23909931-2019-2021-chevrolet-silverado-1500-front-bumper-top-led-bracket-to-mount-30-inch-curved-led-light-bar-pn-z322282.html#!submodel%3DLT TRAIL BOSS||model%3DSILVERADO 1500||make%3DCHEVROLET||year%3D2019 and this Rough Country 30” Curved bar light. https://www.roughcountry.com/30-inch-curved-led-light-bar-72930blkdrl.html The install for the mounts and light was very easy. the ZROADZ link above has a pdf with installation instructions, but it mounts to the bumper mounting bolts. The Rough Country light bar has a very high quality wiring harness and i didn’t want to mess with that and shorten it up, so the excess is taped and hidden behind the fender. There is an accessory “port” where the trucks wiring goes through the firewall, so getting wires through was a cake walk. Just cut the end of the rubber piece off. I took the switch plug aport pushed it through and put plug back on. There is a black plastic mounting box for one of the vehicle control modules you will have to remove to reach the wire on the inside. It is held on with two nuts and comes off easily. I ran the switch wiring behind the console and up through steering column. Its a temporary location until i can find a good solution. I would really like to use one of the blanks in the center console. The light bar itself is crazy bright and can’t believe i went this long without it. My only complaint and its me being picky, is that the light bar sticks out a bit further that i had hoped. And that is only because the RC light bar is no where near as deep as others i have seen. Its about an inch shallower than the light bars on my ATV. If it was like other light bars, you probably wouldn’t even notice. I wanted to post a bunch of images to show the install, but it only allows a few so here is a link to a google photos album. https://photos.app.goo.gl/eKYFVvY9ij9ZnDfEA I hope this helps, if anyone has a questions or wants other pics. Let me know.
  15. Hi everyone, new to the forum here and haven't seem to be able to find an answer after searching. Purchased a 2020 1500 AT4 last summer(love the truck), and recently added the Firestone Ride-Rite kit to the rear(kit #2609). I also ordered the 2" spacer kit as recommended (kit #2366). I'm having a bit of a problem with the install and was wondering if anyone else has added rear air bags to their AT4, and did you end up using the spacer or were you fine without it? Problem is the air bags are slightly misaligned, and appear "under-inflated" with the spacer in there even when I have 10-20psi in them(there is about 500lbs in/on the box via a canopy and a Decked box system installed in the bed; I'd rather not have to try and remove these unless I absolutely need to, to diagnose the problem). I know in the instructions it says to have 5.5-6.5" of space between the upper and lower mounts. So my next plan is to jack up the back of the truck enough via the hitch receiver to recreate the correct factory fender gap front to back(should be roughly 1.5" from the factory with no load if I'm no mistaken?), and then measure the distance between the new mounts. Thoughts and/or someone who has added rear airbags to their AT4? I'd assume the Trail Boss would be very similar? Cheers
  16. Good evening everyone, I have a trip planned this weekend to go to Vegas and I’m planning on taking my Trailboss. Looking online it shows that their clearance is 7.4 but on the google maps I show a sign that reads 7ft. Has anyone had any issues parking at the Paris/Bally’s garage?
  17. Have a set of used Chevrolet Headlight Assemblies off my 2019 Silverado Custom Trailboss. Truck has 8,000 miles on it / lights are in “like new” condition with no issues . asking $700 for the pair plus shipping (most places in US is approx $85). I’ve got more pics but I can only add 1 due to the restraint on attached pics on this post so message me if your interested. I just recently did a headlight conversion , grill change to the high country headlight assemblies is why these are for sale. I also have the black custom Trailboss grille for sale if anyone needs that as well. It’s listed separately.
  18. Used “like new” condition off my 19’ Custom Trailboss . Truck literally has 8,000 miles on it still so these parts look like the day they did it came off the dealer lot. Asking $450 obo +shipping which I believe is about $65 to most places In the US. I changed my headlights and grille out recently after doing a headlight conversion so I have my grille and headlights that came from the factory for sale now .
  19. Hey all..i have what is probably a dumb question. I have a 2020 trailboss..and im wondering if I can install the bilstein 5100 shocks to just level it out and if so what do I set them to before installing to get the desired leveled height ? 1" or 2" ? Any info will be appreciated..thanks in advance
  20. Engine out at 61,000 miles on 2019 trailboss. Paid out of pocket. Idle fell off at 76,000 miles. Anyone know of any lawsuits against Chevrolet?
  21. Has there been any recent updates this year? I have a 2020 LT Trail Boss and I was wondering about how big of wheels, tires you can put on without lifting it more than the 2 inch that it already has? Also has anyone changed their LED bulbs, I was considering changing mine to brighter ones mine seem not so bright.
  22. So far so good. Picked it up on Friday. Comfortable ride, drives nice. There is more leg room in the back seat than my ‘14 crew cab LTZ 1500 or ‘15 crew cab High Country 2500. Truck is 3 inches wider than the previous model too. Sunroof is also wider in proportion to the cab width. I have a few hundred miles on it and am seeing pretty good numbers. I’ve got nothing but compliments everywhere I’ve gone. 2019 Chevy TrailBoss 5.3 Motor 16.5 around town, 21 on the highway @ 70 mph. Not bad considering the OEM 2” lift and off road tires.
  23. Hello. I’m new to this so any help would be appreciated. I have a 2019 Silverado Custom Trail Boss. I recently saw someone on social media who upgraded the entire interior of their Custom Trail Boss with High Country interior. My main question is about how I go about putting a new High Country cluster in my custom trail boss. I’ll also need the upgraded steering wheel with the buttons on the right side to toggle through the screen. Do I need to get it programmed to work? If so, where can I get that done? Any information on this topic will help me a lot because I can’t seem to find much information anywhere on the internet. Thank you very much for your time. I appreciate your input.
  24. Just wondering if anyone has any good information or videos on how or if you can set up the invisible camera feature on a 2019 LT Trail Boss? I pull a decent size Ice Castle fish house and it would be nice to see behind it and inside it at times. If it's possible do you need to just replace the existing trailer plug? or does a dealer have to touch it to replace the plug and do some programming for it to display on the infotainment system? Thanks
  25. Just curious if anyone has any experience with an after market cold air intake system on a 5.3l Trail Boss. Worth it? I was told by my dealership service department that an aftermarket brand would not void my warranty.
