1kwik72
What mpg does that get loaded down? Have the 6.6 dMax? Its an 8.1 gasser I couldn't afford the Duramax option it was another 30K LOL (included a diesel generator) The motorhome by itself averages right at 7mpg but I drive it like I stole it 75-78 mph on the highway. Its a little harder to calculate the mileage towing because my typical run with the trailer is just over 70 miles or so one way and we stay the weekend running the generator then fill back up when we get home. The times I have calculated it including generator gas usage it comes up around 4 mpg. If I figure around 6-8 gallons of fuel over the weekend it would come out around 5.5 mpg hauling the trailer. But like I said I don't baby it not even pulling the trailer. It drives like a car, it will even turn tighter than my old 2500HD crew cab. I like to run with traffic because it takes some time to get it up to speed and you either get stuck behind grandma doing 10 under the speed limit or hang with everyone else that averages 5 over or so. thewhitestallion
I was finally able to tow something besides my friends 4 wheeler and mine. my fiancé's parents moved houses and one of her sisters car has been KIA for a while now so I was able to tow it. I am assuming that it only weighs about 4k total weight. could be more I have no idea really. I only towed it about 15 miles but the truck pulled great. unfortunately I never exceeded 50 miles per hour as I was on city streets. thinking about getting small travel trailer in a next few years but want to buy smart meaning not buy something too heavy for my truck, as this is going to be my truck for the next at least 7 years. David_L6
Me finding out what StabiliTrak is good for. Getting stuck in shallow but slick mud! Turning off Traction Control was easy enough to figure out but I couldn't figure out how to turn off the other junk. I know how to now though. Too bad all that BS isn't an option that I could leave off and not pay for.
