Going Saturday To The Dealer

i love my 09 GMC sierra ext cab but the only thing i hate is trying to get in the back seat in a tight spot. (i have a one car garage)

plus when i bought my ext cab i was in a rush because my lease was up on my hummer.

So i did not really get all the bells and whistles i wanted.

like bluetooth, steering wheel radio controls, center console, sliding back window, fog lights, leather etc...(did updgrade to leather last oct)

looking at a 2011 crew cab diamond white fully loaded without navi 6pd

already been talking to the dealer thru email.... if we strike a deal i want to swap my 22's over, swap my led tail lights over and take my ARE lid off (i can sell myself)

going saturday to talk about the trade ..they are offering almost 7k in rebates so i should be able to get my payment about the same...if not i leave with my truck :)

anyone think the rebates are going to get larger ?

Don't do it. Keep what you have.

Don't worry about Bluetoothie. In another year or two it's gonna be obsolete :)

Obviously this is from someone who doesnt have this option. I love it on my 2010 and wouldnt go without it from now on.

Do it! Go on, pull the trigger on that hot looking BigWhite Crew Cab! You got my vote, although it doesn't mean I'll help with the payments.

I gotta disagree with this, I hate bluetooth for phones or computers, the only time I have found it useful was for headphones at the gym. I don't even know if my truck had/has bluetooth, I wouldn't use it anyway, just use speaker on mobile if someone calls or the onstar phone if I want to call someone.

Have fun fumbling for your phone and clicking to accept the call (try this without taking your eyes off the road). I will press one button to answer any calls I get without even looking down :) Also a lot of areas only allow bluetooth (law) for talking and driving.

That is law here it has to be handsfree or $187 fine, with a blackberry you hit answer, scroll to the left press the trackpad down and you are in speaker no need to look at it and I just leave it in the armrest. On the other hand everytime I go for the speaker phone button on the steering wheel I have to take my eyes off the road to see which button it is. Can you honestly tell me that you have never had bluetooth pairing issues either? I have tried it before on previous vehicles and never bothered with it. The best system I used before was a built in phone that you put a SIM card in and it operated itself similar to the onstar phone. To me this is the best way to go because it is a bit cheaper than the onstar route if you use it a lot. Personally I do not really like to talk to people when I am driving but sometimes you have to so I rather just put my mobile on silent and then have a dedicated car phone that I can use and only give to a select number of people if they really need to contact me and the onstar system is perfect for that.

You said in your 1st sentence "---you love your Sierra"

don't do it

another 6 inches of room isn't worth $15,000 difference

keep what you have

I'd do it. I wouldn't have a pickup unless it was a crewcab. Of course, I have children but I also like the look of a crewcab better.

Yep, No issues here and never have had an issue. I have my personal LG phone (dont know model) connected and also my work phone which is just a regular cell phone (not a smart phone). I maybe use blue tooth once a day or once every 2 days but it is still nice.

I haven't had any big issues with bluetooth and my phone (Droid X). Every now and then it takes it's time to pair but beyond that it works very well. I'm with Ryan- I don't need to look down to use the answer button and call quality seems fine. I've asked a few people on the other end and even called my home phone and left myself a message to see how it sounded and it seemed fine. I wish it could support audio streaming for Pandora but I can survive without that or use the plug in jack if I really want to.
