Walt, just wondering how the Camera-Source back-up cam install went for you? Curious as to what you thought, as I'm looking to add one to my Christmas wish list for the wifey...lol

It's good stuff! We're going to add them to our product list and definitely will do a package for those that need both navi and camera.

For what it does at the price, there's nothing wrong with these at all, and Chris is a great guy to work with - HIGHLY recommended...

Worked fine for me.

I threw them up on mediafire but had to break it up into two zips in order to not go over the 200mb limit with my free account:

You will need winzip to put them back together. Just open the .zip file and extract. This is the upgrade from 5.2.00.

Thanks! That's what I needed. I downloaded the two files from the mediafire site, unzipped them and updated the NAVMATE to 5.2.11 per their instructions. I owe you one!

have you noticed anything different between the 2 nav versions?

i've been too busy after work to update anything

Yeah, we've had nothing but problems w/RF style cameras.

FUNNY STORY: On the last one we did (the one that convinced us never to carry them again), the customer called me back a couple days after the install and said that she used it as a lane-change camera, so left it on all the time. Worked great, except when she drove past a bunch of warehouses on her way to work every day and as she drove by, she saw the inside of the warehouses on her monitor! We changed it out to a wired version...

Thats hilarious!

So, now you are selling Chris's cameras, eh? I should write him for some kickbacks since I was the first to try it and recommend it on the forum (with pics) :)

The update is mostly bug fixes. I haven't driven enough yet to tell much.

It's 2.8 GB in size - good luck with the download!

Exactly.

2.8 GB ?! Holy crap! I can only assume that includes map updates as well?

I've had some email dialog with the tech support folks at Horizon Nav and they said they found no problems with the downloads or the FTP server. Problem is that I couldn't download a smaller 362 MB file and it appears that many others have the same problem. Email [email protected] if you have problems. Maybe if enough users complain they will get serious about fixing the issue.

I've been using the 5.2.11 update and it appears to have fixed all of the problems listed as fixed on the Horizon Nav Site. Two big ones for me were the radio hanging when making changes to routes in the navigation application. The radio would have to be reset to get it working again. I have not had any problems since the fix. Another was the nav screen not updating after telling it to start a route - again this is fixed. I had some problems with the Address Book displaying junk characters after entering a name for an address. Looks like this is also fixed. If you have v5.2.00 then grab the 5.2.11 update. You'll like it!

Good stuff, Terry!

Thanks for following up on this and letting everyone know your experience - this is what I and a lot of others love about this forum!

I figured I would try to download it myself to see if I could help you guys out (i know how frustrating something like this can be). My conection is pretty dang good with FIOS and I can sustain probably 2+ MB / second download so it should only take me about 18 mins. It seems to give out at about the half way mark every time. So maybe after 10-15 mins (seems to slow down towards the end). I betcha it is a timeout issue with their servers. They Web admins need to see if they can trace it down.

I am going to ask a stupid question. Where can I buy one of these radios? I can't find anywhere to buy one online. Thanks.
