How to lift whiper blades to keep off frozen window ?

Right before you go to bed, just raise them up & then when you wake up in the morning, just put them down.

The reason for this post is because the OP is unable to do what you posted........wipers don't stay up.

My dads impala has the same problem, the hood stops you from lifting up the wipers. Best way to do it is as said before, turn the car/truck off when they are halfway through a rotation and it shouldnt be an issue with lifting them up.

they wont lift up . Like wont stay up . they will lift up there is no option to make them stay . Stupid desigh. This converstions has gone way over board then I thought it would lol .

 

Turn on the defrost start it and wait about ten minutes....

 

or longer . when its -36 C ten mins dont do much .

I think you can take the wiper arms off of an earlier year truck (2001 and earlier maybe) and swap them for the ones on yours. I cannot lift them on my 04 sierra...its really annoying.

 

Leaving them stuck in the middle could be bad, especially if they are frozen then the wipers get turned on before they are unfrozen...
