That's an easy one.....I would bring back the truck, not the "dump truck".

Then I would have got "I said the truck dumbass not the pickup. Your parents ever had any kids that lived. Now go get the %$ truck!" :-)

I guess I am the only one that would just ask the guy "which one?"

The one that I do not like is the "motor" or "engine" issue. The starter is a motor, the thing it starts is the engine.

I would ask if they wanted the Pickup Truck or the Dump Truck, that is if I couldn't tell which was needed for what I was currently doing/helping with.

The term pickup to me has been more associated to trucks that do work but not towing or anything really heavy. Trucks to me are more capable that can tow heavy loads and carry alot of payload. A pick up to me is light duty work like tools or wood .

To day all trucks are called trucks . Semies are called semies or tractor trailers and then there is dump trucks or garbage trucks or sement trucks and flat deck trucks . and then there is just trucks like Ford or Dodge or GM or Toyota. Then there is cars like the honda ridge line :P

I usually call mine a truck. Usually call the semis by brand, we'd say we're going to get the Pete, or the Freightshaker.

or "we're going to get the pete to boost the freightliner"

lol.

Even your outboard "motor" IS an internal combustion ENGINE

But between you and me, I could care less that other people say motor. For the same reason we spell things different then the british. tyres. HA that just sounds stupid
