The price doesn't show. I put my stock headlights back in. My passenger one cracked a bracket. So I'm stuck with the factory's until I JB Weld it

Got under my truck to start removing the factory muffler and put on my new Spintech, but it looks like I will need to get my 3.5" short pcs of pipe bent a little to get the whole exhaust system to line up to the new muffler.

And of course no muffler shop around me can bend 3.5" pipe :nonod: guess I will have to make a few more calls on monday.

Did a full brake job on the wife's Malibu. After a twelve hour shift...

Only have sympathy if the rears are drums. Otherwise, been there, done that.

Yeah, not so much. Disc brakes all around. Was quoted $600.00 for new front rotors, resurfaced rear rotors and pads. Did new rotors pads and brake kits at all four corners for under two hundred bucks. My first brake job since 1994, but it sure didn't seem like much has changed. Probably a bit long at just under three hours, but that was in my driveway with a couple of phone calls and a couple of beers...

$600? Wow. I only got charged $200 labor for my long tube headers.

Finally made time to replace the front brakes. Rotors were probably salvageable but seemed better to just replace them. Went back to ceramic so we'll see how bad the break dust is and how long they last. The last ones were semi metallic and it felt like they wore pretty fast. Took couple of hours, no beer but plenty of interruptions from the neighborhood. Lubed up the suspension while I was under there. Also got rid of the rotor retaining bolts. They were rusted badly and broke my torx bit getting them out. Won't miss those blasted things.

Not too familiar with rotor retaining bolts but the guys at work warned me about them- the malibu didn't have them fortunately. Neighbors look at me funny when I'm drinking a beer at 9:00am, they don't understand that it's happy hour to a graveyard shift worker. Sarah knows...

E85 is the same price as regular near me right now. No matter as I haven't run it since June.

Graveyard shifts, 12 hour shifts, weekends, holidays, yup worked them all. Being military has that "advantage". I'm spending this week on 12s' no fun for me. Having a drink at 9am...hell yeah.
