Gazed at its sexines and an old woman got pissed today with me at work

She randomly says this to me as it's warming up in the parking lot after work.

Old lady- why do you need such a big loud bright truck it's so pointless for a girl.

Me- why are you such a nosy annoying b!ch?

I then hopped up in my big bright loud annoying pickup and took off... can't wait to hear about it tomorrow.

I mean, technically, no one NEEDS a lifted truck, but they sure get you looks lol

Sent while drinkin' a cold one...

You save $30 cause it takes longer, at least that's what it sounds like. Hopefully they are trained to do the job properly, and pray it wont leak after their done lol

They are very reputable, and locally owned. They fixed a chip and crack on it a few years ago.

Edit: read my next post.

Robinson Glass, broken arrow.

Guess what? Yesterday I make an appointment, they said they have the full day open, it will take 3 hours.

Drop it off at 10 am......no ready call from them.

Call at 1:30 PM, its not ready. Why?

They didn't get the glass in. It'll be ready at 4pm.

Okay. I can underatand half of that. Stuff happens, my job relies on timely deliveries, we do not always get stuff in time.

But they never called me. A windshield replacement IS NOT AN ALL DAY JOB, and I was given a completion time. We woke up the twins early from their nap to get the car at a specific time.

They did admit they should have called

I had to hang up when they were trying to explain(by far the nicest thing I could do at that moment).

Bought a new radar detector for wife's car. Hers is a 10 year old Cobra. Bought her the cobra spx 5300. I have a 9370 that was a gift and it works very well for me. Know several other with cobras and they have saved us many times even though they aren't the best.

Car and driver used the new 5300 as a baseline against the newest escort and valentine v1.

Their result were the $550 dollar ones were way better than the $100 Cobra....but if you actually read the results....

Basically, the cobra maxed out range at 4000 feet. The escort and valentine could go 6500 feet or further. The cobra had more false alarms.

My thoughts:

Wait, so I still have 4000 feet of warnings for $450 less?

Haven't run a radar detector since I was 19. Don't need it when you can spot where they hide and talk smooth when you can't. One ticket in my entire life.
