What did you do with your truck/shop today

E85 is or was recently 55 cents cheaper, the biggest difference I have seen yet in OK. Actually made it worth it but I still had 3/4 tank of gasoline so didn't fill up.

 

 

My brother just scored a 98 Z71 ext cab 5.7 with 138K miles for around 6K I think. I think its been babied. He jumped on it. It was on CL under 12 hours I think.

 

I had found a 06 Z71 ext cab with a little over 100K miles that was in excellent shape, 13k I think. I think it only lasted a day on Craigslist.

I got under my pickup and washed out all the road salt. I'll be doing brakes and tire rotation Saturday and leaving for the mountains Sunday evening. I'm excited to be rid of these nasty brakes and excited to snowboard!

Yeah, finally have brakes that I don't want to throw out the window. I guess it pays to get the "premium" or whatever they called them. I barely have to use any force on the brake pedal and I can feel the truck slowing....much more confident on the road...and off.

Trashed the hell outta my transmission since they told me I had to pull it and send it in. On my way home got on it and it stuck in second till I let outta it. Trans temp increased about 40 degrees (about 130 above ambient). 5 mins. from home and I lose 3rd and 4th. Ran 2nd gear at 55 mph for the last five minutes of my journey, which was about 4300 rpms.

 

Yelled many curse words, made up so new ones, the entire time it was stuck in second. So much for that "performance" transmission, right guys??

Mine are "premium", they cost almost double what I'm replacing them with IIRC. I've had the replacements for a while, just no time to install em. I hate the dust the EBC's make. Dirtiest brakes ever.

Had my boat trailer roll forward into my tailgate today. Wonder how much this is going to cost to repair. It got all the way down to the metal in a few spots. Any thoughts guys?

Well both my subs are blown out now haha looks like i need to get 2 new 12s. Drove around some since it was such a nice day and because gas is 2.48 haha

Will probably repaint most of the tail gate. Or carry on as a truck scar and touch up with primer and or paint
