My transmission shit the bed tonight. Lost 4th completely, 1st sounds like there is rocks in the converter. Doesnt want to shift to second and 2nd makes noise. 3rd is the only decent gear right now

Still planning on waiting a little while before you get a new trans?

I don't like tossing money out the window but I don't think you realise the frustration that truck caused me. Let's see your truck just up and leave you stranded in the middle of know were twice before 61 000km. And then having to fight for a rental truck cause the dealer has no more curtsey vehicles left. I have a huge list of problems that truck had the 4x4 would only work when it felt like it the ignition switch would leave you stranded the oil cooler lines have to be replaced multiple times aswell as transmission cooler lines. The trucks being parked at just over basically 61 000km I'm done with it!!!!!

Letting it sit and rot wouldn't help with the frustration. At least recoup as much as you can. Or turn it into a tree house or something

Do you mean you want the hi and low beams pluss the fog lights to all be on with the hi beams if so I remember me and a friend installed a kit from lmc truck onto his dad's 05 GMC 2500HD duramax. When done the low beams and fog lights would come on with the hi beams. Hope that answers your question.

Conky Conky, thanks no that's called the God light converstion. What I'm looking to find out is different. The head light high&low beam are in one housing and the day time and blinker are in another this converstion takes those 2 assy and uses one for all and then the trim piece off of grill comes off also. Again thanks thou.

Figures that it would go out at a time where you couldn't build the trans exactly how you want it.

Driving the bigger 13 now. It's a different drive. Motor is so much quiter, brakes are better, range in the throttle is mush greater, and so much more fuel capacity.

Tuesday I picked up an aux gas tank from my storage house and took it down to a friend that could possibly get some use out of it. Cleaned the outside of the windshield and put rainx on it, changed the wiper blades too. Cleaned the drivers side of the inside and then said screw it and gave up. Torqued all 32 lug nuts to 140 ft lb or there about.

0058 Wednesday morning received a txt from my best friend's girlfriend saying her BF told her to call me since he was on duty and having a busy night. Apparently she went to world of beer and left the head lights on (on her civic, which is in MS, the lights turn on and off automatically, buddy's 4runner doesn't). Whoever she was with couldn't get it to start by jumping it. Get out there jump it and get it going. Notice the low fuel light is on and an estimated 9 miles left. Yeah that was a lie, barely made it a 1/4 mile and it died at the intersection for the gas station. Jumped it again since the battery didn't seem to strong and it had enough fuel to make the uturn at the light and into the gas station. Then followed her the 13 miles back to buddy's place. I really wish he'd learn to put gas in his vehicles, always runs them 1/4 or less of a tank and only fills up when we're going out of town. Even worse now that he just uses his patrol car since he really doesn't go many places off duty.

I love my friends...I love my friends...I lo...grrrrrr

Later today I'll be driving down to Tampa for a concert. I should probably get some sleep, at least that would be the smart thing to do right?

Getting ready to haul a '08 Lexus RX350 here. Thing blew an oil cooler line (common issue in the V6) and puked nearly every ounce of oil out on their 5 mile drive home. If their apartment was 10' further up the road, this would be a motor swap.

Found a Dorman ( :nonod: ) assembly that's all metal, instead of the little short hoses the OEM used. So, I figure it'll rust through in around the same length of time the rubber lasted.

Should be a fun job. Everything is packed in there. First foray into Lexus territory. Never even sat in one before, let alone worked on one.

Time to put the Silverado to work.
