Not looking forward to doing mine, but I know that's the only way it'll get done right because around here everyone seems to half ass everything, especially the drive thru car washes. Don't clean worth a damn

Especially the touchless ones. USELESS on a black truck. Leaves a film on every contour and body line that isn't directly perpendicular to the spray nozzles.

Truck finally saw the light of day today. Was looking at my fuel receipts in the cab - last fill up was 7/17/16! I averaged 10mpg on that tank with LOTS of spark knock. Fuel sucks so bad up here ...

Nice ride out to NY farm country. Not upstate, but far north of the city, which works for me.

MA just started this new electronic toll b/s. Now I have to watch for the gantries holding the electronic gadgetry. If I don't hold the transponder up to the windshield, it takes a pic of your plate and sends you a nice bill in the mail ... which is more money than if you had the transponder. To top it all off, ALL TRAILER tolls DOUBLED with the new system. Friggin pisses me off! Robbing Peter to pay Paul. The commuting sheep won't know the difference, since their tolls got lowered. When they start paying more for tofu & wheat germ, they'll blame "big corporations", and never realize that businesses have to pass the ever-rising cost of living (thanks to democrats) on to the consumers. Clueless idiots I live with here ....

I could continue ranting about the idiot drivers in NY ... but that's enough ranting for one post. I need a DRINK!

Then, welcome back to MA - fines doubled! Shocker!

One of the only scenic pics on the MA Pike:

Why don't you keep the EZPass on your windshield? I hardly ever pass through tolls these days and it always stays there.

I was using the car dealer's transponder - saved me $14.10.

I use the Pike so infrequently that it wasn't a big deal in the past to just hold the transponder up. Now that they put these damn gantries up, I may have to buy some velcro for mine...

The Volvo on a trailer should last a long time. When you get home park it on the front lawn and next time you to go somewhere load it on the trailer again and go. That Volvo will last a long time.

Well assuming it's the same supplier you'll be happy with the stuff they sell- the "velcro" (it's really a bit more than that" that came with my first EZPass that I got when NH first started using it probably 10ish years ago lasted through 4 vehicles. I only replaced it cause I wanted one of the newer, smaller transponders since the Wrangler has such a tiny windshield.

The absolute dumbest thing with those tolls are the states that put the fast pass on the (slow)right side of the road. Forces traffic to cross lanes.

Stupid, just stupid.

Around here they have eliminated lots of toll booths and make it so you don't even slow down.

Swapped out the fender marker bulbs, map bulbs, and license plate bulbs for LED. Need to do the interior back seat ones but they flicker, I guess I need a resistor. Also have to email the seller and tell them the vanity ones are the wrong size, not that I ever use them.

Had jury duty Monday and I was forced to pull in forward or pay $45 extortion fee. I fit perfectly!

Not bad for a big beast like that!

Was finally able to wash mine before the long stretch of work. Wednesday night was perfect weather for it too.

SOOOO happy I got Deep Ocean Blue over Victory Red. It is such a nice color, especially under direct light. So sharp.

I love my truck :D

That is a beautiful truck, I prefer that nose to the newer ones.

I don't know, the 16+ paint matched front clips have really grabbed my attention. Not enough to render trading my 14 in, but if I was in the market again, they would definitely catch my eye. Now the new Super duty ford's are, uhh, hideous for the most part

First, you counted correctly as there are 80 bolts! Second, now I know I didn't drop any lol. These bolts are actually part of my method wheels. They use real bolts instead of molded fakes.

    • I agree with Tim.  As tech heavy as engines are these days, no way I’d be an early buyer of the new 6.6.  Of course, I bought my ‘26 Denali w/the 6.2 after dumping my Tundra with it’s defective 3.5 liter imploding engine disaster, so I’m a little gun-shy.  That said, my 6.2 has been rock solid.  I don’t drive it like I do my BMW Z4 M40i, but I don’t baby it either.  I got a V8 for a reason.  But I’m averaging 18 around town and 22 highway.  I have seen 24 highway as well when I wasn’t loaded up heavy.  Considering my Tundra with the twin turbo V6 only got 14.5 in town and 17 on the road, I’ll take the 6.2 all day, every day.  If I were you, I’d grab a ‘26 while you can.  Inventories are probably gonna start dropping and I’ll bet the deals will start looking sweeter as well.
    • I am curious if anyone has figured out a way to add an hard button AUX or 360 Camera switch to the center row of switches. I have a 2021 AT4, and want to split the hill decent button and add a 360 camera button so that you don't have to go into the center display and locate the camera functionality, etc...   My father's 2024 Yukon XL AT4 and it has a hard button, see below. I found this thread on the Yukons, but it seems like there may not be a part number for the 2021 sierras. https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/255339-adding-hard-button-for-camera-on-2021/ Anyone else figured this out. Seems like it would need to be a custom switch!   I am getting ready to install the auto stop/start eliminator, so would be nice to knock them out at once.     Upvote1Downvote0Go to comments
    • Looks like the entire state is burning. 😬
    • Through the years it hasn't been my typical method as I tried to drop oil on an engine that was hot from having been worked, however that was not always practical and had to fire up a unit and let it warm up reasonably well and drop the oil when I had the time to do it but am referring to not only vehicles but a variety of farm equipment and highway tractors etc. However on a vehicle where one is crawling under it and the exhaust is nearby to ones body and if wanting to pull the plug without danger of being hit with boiling hot oil or attempting to remove a HOT oil filter, its sure safer and easier to not have everything smoking hot and can remove the filter right away when under the vehicle and let it all drain. Of course its not the end of the world if a bit of oil stays in the engine that might have eventually found its way out, I like to get out as much as possible but any oil changes that take place in shops would rarely be sitting around for very long at all before the plug is thrown back in and filter slapped on and oil poured in and sent out the door quick like. There would be very little time spent ( assuming they even did it ) in starting the engine with oil to fill the filter, then waiting to verify the level on the stick. A good reason to check ones oil level shortly after a shop changed the oil on a vehicle just to make sure its correct and to look under for any oil around the drain plug or filter.
