I wonder if somebody could verify this. We had a storm here last night and I moved my truck to clear the snow and when I turned the ignition off my wipers happened to be at top of cycle when they stopped. Didn't think much of it until it came time to walk away and I pressed the lock FOB button and it didn't work, tried the unlock and it didn't work. Went back to the truck parked the wipers by turning the key and then my FOB worked again. Some kind of safety or coincidence?

Possibly coincidence. Not sure about my 14 but my 02 always seemed to "park" the wipers even when I turned it off in the middle of a wiper cycle. Idk, it could be a safety feature

Frame horns and bumper brackets are welded on. I need to order bumper braces and the plastic reinforcement and grille now. Denali parking lights already on the way

Dang wtf I didn't know it occurred that often, that's crazy

Its from Wastewater injection wells. We also have a lot of fault areas that run through the state, so it's a bad combination. Look up where the OK oil towns are, it's basically the same Map with different titles. Still plenty of oil around here.

One hell of a tranny cooler you got there! Could run through Death Valley in August towing 10k with that, and I bet it would only be 30° above ambient. :smoker: Same if it's an oil cooler I'd bet.

Got that thing fixed up fast! I would've got around to it a year from now, lol - "the cobbler's children have no shoes", as they say. Of course, I'd have been stopped by the fellas 10-15 times to remind me ...

I started. I don't know when the rest of it will get done. And the cooler in the summer runs about 40-50 above ambient unloaded. Towing about 5k is around 60-70 above

Nice - thing works great, as I expected.

I've just got the stock towing package cooler on mine. Last week I hauled 7k lbs. down the Cape (BMW x5, plus 2k for the trailer). Was 36° when I left, and about 45° down the Cape. Ran 80°-100° above ambient. It's pretty flat, relatively speaking, headed that way though. I've had tranny temps hit 120° over ambient on long, steep grades in the summer, with about 6k behind me.

Where did you get that cooler from? I may have to look into one of those.

EDIT to fix my math ...

Jegs I think. It is a Fluidyne ThermHx and then the lines are steel braided teflon with AN fittings everywhere

Replaced both tie rod ends. Got an alignment afterwards then replaced all my plug wires, and cleaned my throttle body.

Busy week here.

Finished my dad's Arctic Cat 400 project, then ordered, received, and installed a 316 stainless chimney cap for the waste oil burner out in the barn (to keep rain from rotting my 90° elbows out every season), picked up a Volvo 940 wagon that's a no-start (pissing fuel out of regulator seal) ... and when it was running, would stall at the first stop sign, and, got a pic of a potential future job - a rotted out lower control arm on a '01 Focus. Would've had that one today, but my trailer is occupied at the moment. Also managed to find a minute to clean out my catch can - haven't done that in months.

Tomorrow I'll blow the cobwebs off the Silverado and bring the Cat back to my parent's place.
