I hate those batteries the cables have to screw into. Top post with adapters so much better.

That's weird, I'm the other way around, I prefer the screw in type. I've never had corrosion with one, and for jumper cables I always had extended studs for the clamps to grab onto

I guess the side posts are supposed to be less susceptible to corrosion. I've never had one corrode either.

Except for the 2000 era Delco side post batteries, every one we had (3 vehicles/3 failures) and everybody I know that had them - leaked out the side post, destroyed the cables, inner fenders, battery trays, etc. I'm glad they got ride of them.

The one I just replaced had leaked all over my battery tray. Maybe that's where it was coming from?

Had a series of 3800 motor 90s and 2000s cars with side post corrision was awful.

Got the new battery in. Getting ready to go to my parents place now to pull the cluster and send it away.

Sprayed mine off then did a waterles wash (everything except the rims, tires and lower portions of the doors. This will get done Thursday).

Also applied aquapel to the new windshield. It was driving me nuts not having any protection and needing the wipers constantly on in the recent rain/snow

Is it better than rain-x or pretty much the same thing?

Depends of you want to spend the money. Install was pretty easy just take the spare tire down for extra room and use Teflon tape on all the bolts going into the bags.

I think 4wparts wanted 250 to install it. Su r e took the sag out of the suspension since I have a the cap and roof rack.
