What's up my way that is so thrilling?

It's called Mines and Meadows, north of Pittsburgh. There's 75 miles of trails and also a guided half mile trail through an abandoned mine. Sounded pretty cool but not with it being so cold. Maybe in a few months

I just found out about that place last year too. Now I've got to check that out, along with Hatfield-McCoy - been wanting to hit that place for years. Some day.

Did a full brake job in the neighbor's '06 Impala yesterday - rotors and pads. 92k miles, AUTOMATIC transmission - NEVER been done!! That's a record - never seen anyone even come close to that kind of brake life. 35k is my personal best. The aluminum wheels, and the rotors were both seized on there pretty good. Took me 7 hours! Did that one in the barn with the waste oil burner running. Was pretty cramped in there, so tripping over things and squeezing past other things added to the time too.

I'm sure there's a lot of places in VA to ride that aren't listed on any website, more word of mouth most likely.

Hatfield is awesome, wanna do a trip in March or April again. Spearhead trails is like Hatfield but a tad smaller, nestled down in the SW corner of VA. Wanna check those trails out too. Maybe if I ride enough this year and realize the trails are large enough for a SxS then I'll sell the quad and get me a Rzr like my parents have

I think MA has 2 places ... and there's a list of rules and regs a mile long. Each place has about 7 miles TOTAL. Not even worth the trouble. They demand we register ALL off road vehicles, even if you NEVER leave you OWN PROPERTY, then give us no place to ride them. But, if you're a hippy hiker, locations abound. You can go anywhere you want.

All the trails my dad and I cut 35 years ago have been commandeered by the state via Wildlife Management land - no motorized vehicles allowed. Par for the course up here ...

Great photos of the old thing. My 99 Silverado was a very smooth riding lady, I miss it.

Thank you. I still have a lot of room for improvement with her, but all in due time.

And the low beams (Osrams) are actually whiter than they appear in the photos.

Left turn signal went out a few days ago and it was causing the arrow to blink really fast compared to the right one. I didn't realize it until I got out and checked, and yup it was out. Nice feature.

I just replaced the bad bulb during today's lunch hour.

Just tallied up my month, repaired or refurbished 18 clusters this month, and this morning I repaired our Mercedes dealer's only OBDII working controller that failed. They had a bunch of new ones coming in for the new models and only had one working unit until the new ones arrived. I received it at 7:53 this morning and handed it over to the technician to test it out at 9:11. Every technician is fighting for the only working unit. I asked for $20 and the manager threw $50 at me. Gave me 2 other units that I returned to him 1 hour later in good working condition so he threw an other 2017-01-31%2019.14.19_zpszenn25yr.jpg at me. Now they at least have 3 working units until the new ones come in.

The new ones are bluetooth and Wi-Fi so no more wires dangling.
