Another Reason to Avoid Walmart...

Well without going into detail about what happened, I went to Walmart where they decided that placing rocks in the middle of the parking lot is a good idea :idiot: . I'm now saving to fix the issues, but the frame has cracked where the passenger side body mount is. The overall frame is fine, but this is a safety problem that's become a priority for me. What do you guys think a repair shop would have to do to fix it, and what would it cost? Also, can a dealership do the work and warranty it as though it had not been damaged?

The first picture is the overall damage, and the second one is the cracked cab mount.

Yea I would talk to them, and see about getting them to pay for it. Not sure if they'll do anything for you now, but I guess it's worth a try...

That sucks, I too would like to hear more of the story. Bring it here, pay for my wire and gas and I'll weld it right up

It's tough to tell from a picture, and I am not familiar with the frame coating on the GMT-900, but is the bracket actually cracked, or is it the frame coating that is cracked?

If it is the bracket, as others have said, it should be a pretty quick job for a decent welder.

From the picture it looks like only the wax undercoating split. However if the bracket does have a crack in it seems to be an easy fix for a good welder or body shop.

I'm not a fan of Walmart but I fail to see how you running into something has anything to do with Walmart. Do you also get mad at the street lights you have to avoid in parking lots?
